Great frame!

We sent this to my mom for an early mother's day gift. She was able to set it up herself (she's a bit technologically challenged so this was huge!) and she loves that all of her children can upload photos from all over! Super happy with this purchase.

My Mom loves it, once we got it going

The problem was my Mom is 97 and did not have a smart device. With COVID-19, no one could get in her quarantine residence to help. A staff tech support got it going for her. The ad for Aura does not mention you have to set it up with a smart device while in the room with aura frame.

Fantastic Birthday Gift!

I bought this for my Dad for his 87th birthday. He lives in Arizona, and I am in California, so I had it shipped to him. Due to the Covid19 crisis, getting together in person was not an option. Fortunately Aura lets you pre-load images on to the gift frame while it is in transit, before the recipient receives it and initializes it. I had about 50 of my dad's family and friends take selfies holding hand made signs that said "Happy Birthday". I uploaded those along with some other family photos on to the frame. I talked to my dad and told him he couldn't unwrap the gift until his birthday. On that day, my sister and I were on the phone with him while he unwrapped, initialized and then viewed the photos on the Aura. We had about 140 photos uploaded on it by the time he got it. He said that this was the most thoughtful birthday gift he has ever received. Needless to say, we felt like we were right there, and were able to celebrate his birthday together. Thanks to Aura for a quality product and for keeping us all together during these trying times!!

My friend told me about Aura and I knew my parents had to have a frame to see their grandkids on a daily basis. I love that you can easily set up a frame as a gift, and the app is very easy to use. My non-tech-savvy parents figured out how to set up the frame without much issue. There have been a few connectivity hiccups but that seems to be due to their WiFi, according to Aura customer support. The downside to having everything done over WiFi/app is if there's a connectivity issue, the whole frame business model is in danger. I highly recommend this frame as a gift for long-distance family members. My mom watches it auto-scroll every day, calling it her favorite new TV show. Customer service is pretty quick to respond to issues via email, which is a bonus.
