EXCELLENT NON-STICK STOCK POT!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ninja™ Foodi™ NeverStick™ Premium Hard-Anodized 8-Quart Stock Pot with Glass Lid is our newest piece of Ninja Foodi cookware in our kitchen.
It is clear that the Ninja Foodi Neverstick cookware is intended to directly compete with other, well known premium cookware brands which share similar construction, physical and cosmetic characteristics.
The construction of the Ninja Foodi NeverStick cookware exudes quality!
The body of the stock pot is constructed of thick, cast aluminum which is shot textured and anodized. There is a bright, machined aluminum heat dispersion disk bonded to the bottom of the pot which provides an absolutely flat base which does not rock on the stove and is intended to evenly distribute heat at the cooking surface. The pot has two, large loop style handles. The handles are fabricated of solid stainless steel; they are not hollow, molded or rolled handles. The handles are tightly attached to the body of the pot with large rivets that appear to be very secure.
The domed, tempered glass lid has a stainless steel edge band, the seam of which is neatly and precisely finished. The handle of the lid is a large metal button which is attached via a screw and internal disk-washer. The lid fits the pot perfectly.
The stock pot is heavy; which is a good, desirable characteristic of cast aluminum cookware. The stock pot weighs 4 pounds, 0.7 ounces. (1836 grams). The glass lid adds 1 pound, 5.9 ounces (624 grams).
The 8 quart size is my minimum preference for a stock pot. I always prepare large quantities of soups and stews, especially since leftovers can be even better than the first day. The stock pot measures 10.25” in diameter, and the straight sides measure 5.75” deep. The handles are non-insulated metal and they can get very hot therefore requiring appropriate, cautious handling.
This line of Ninja Foodi NeverStick Premium Hard Anodized cookware is designed to stack for storage, nesting pots or pans with similar style pieces, with the handles providing the support structure. The lids are stackable by virtue of their large, button style handles which have a flat upper surface to facilitate stacking when inverted.
The non-stick internal coating appears to perform very well, and hopefully will remain effective and durable over the long-term. Most non-stick coatings eventually fail or wear after varying intervals of use and possible abuse. Non-stick cookware should not be exposed to excessively high temperatures, particularly when dry/empty. No pot stays perfect after being burned, but nonstick cookware will almost always suffer permanent damage. Ninja claims that this nonstick coating is PFOA free and is oven and broiler safe up to 500° F. The website claims that “Lid, handles, and nonstick coating are all oven safe up to 500°F”. However the Use & Care Guide which accompanies the cookware in the box states that the lid is oven safe to 400°. Ninja claims that the nonstick coating is safe for use with “all utensils, including metal”. I never use metal utensils with any nonstick cookware and only use silicone, plastic or wood implements to preserve the integrity of the bonded, nonstick coating. Ninja also says that the nonstick cookware is dishwasher safe. My personal experience has convinced me that any nonstick finish will ultimately deteriorate after repeated dishwasher cleaning. The aggressive and caustic nature of dishwashing detergents is a potent threat to the finish and the nonstick coating of any metal cookware. Handwashing with a sponge and dish soap is easy and quick with the excellent non-stick coating of this Ninja NeverStick stock pot.
The Ninja Foodi NeverStick stock pot performs well on the stove. I measured relatively even heating on the bottom surface. Although the machined aluminum disk on the bottom of the pan naturally slows down preheating, it serves the important purpose of assuring even heat distribution and retention of consistent temperature control during cooking, with less risk of burning or uneven cooking. This is especially important with recipes that require long cooking times like stews.
Ninja says the the Ninja Foodi NeverStick cookware is safe for use on all types of stoves, including gas, electric, halogen, induction and ceramic. There is a caution statement pertaining to the potential scratching of glass cooktops which may result from sliding the cookware on the smooth ceramic surface. If I had a glass top range I would certainly heed that warning, as the machined aluminum metal disk on the bottom of the pan certainly appears to have the potential to scratch delicate or softer surfaces. Of course, pans like sauté pans, saucepans, stock pots, etc. are not typically shaken during cooking. Those types of cooking vessels are generally left stationary while the food contents are stirred. However, fry pans and omelet pans are often shaken during cooking, and given the weight and construction of this type of heavy, cast, premium cookware, I would not use heavy cookware in that manner on a smooth, ceramic/glass top stove.
Cleanup was extremely easy. The nonstick surface meets expectations and cleans very easily with just a sponge and dish soap, with very little effort and no need for difficult scrubbing. After repeated cooking, washing and drying, the interior and exterior of the pan, inclusive of the nonstick coating, still appear as if brand new.
The Ninja Foodi NeverStick cookware, inclusive of the nonstick surface has a “lifetime” limited warranty, however lifetime is defined as five years. Using the five year warranty entails a return shipping charge to the customer, as listed on the website.
Overall, the Ninja™ Foodi™ NeverStick™ Premium Hard-Anodized 8-Quart Stock Pot with Glass Lid is very nice. It is apparently well designed and constructed and appears to be very robust. I hope that it will also be very durable for the long-term. I have every expectation that this stock pot will serve us well for a very long time. It is performing very well now, and certainly meets or exceeds expectations.
My wife and I both really like our Ninja Foodi NeverStick cookware. Our sole regret is that we only have two pots. Now that we have discovered how terrific this excellent cookware is, we wish we had a full set!

Completely non-stick

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very generously sized pot and has a good weight to it. It’s not too heavy for hand-washing, but heavy enough for even heat distribution. The material is truly non-stick. It doesn’t seem like it’s a nonstick coating that sits on the surface. Instead, the nonstick aspect seems like it is integrated into the entire pot material. I have been using this pot to make thick soups and braised dishes. Nothing has stuck so far. Everything wipes away with no effort at all. The high sides are also great at keeping food from sputtering out.
However, the handles on the side do get very hot as you use the pot. The same happens with the lid handle. It would be great if the lid handle was more protected from the heat and had a heatproof ring at the handle base to protect your knuckles from the hot glass. You will definitely need to use a kitchen towel before touching any of the handles. I also experienced condensation spilling out of the pot when the lid is on. This occurred even on low heat and when the pot was less than half full. This is inconvenient for recipes that require a long cooking time with the lid on.
Aside from those points, I am very impressed by the nonstick technology of this pot. It’s also a bonus that all items from this collection are able to nest together. I’d recommend this pot to those who are looking for durable, low maintenance, and non-stick cookware.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my new favorite stock pot! It is very sturdy without being overly heavy; it is easy to manage on my stove top. Cooks evenly and consistently every time. The cookware is made from quality materials and has smooth refined surfaces, the non-stick attributes are top-notch. The lid fits perfectly and performs an incredible seal to lock in the heat, as desired. The design matches the performance, it is beautiful as well as highly functional. I like the deep sides and size which allows me to cook a wide variety of dishes. I've made soups, entrées, and a family favorite of large batch kettle corn. My personal best was being able to cook multiple king crab legs to perfection. Clean up is breeze and it is easy to store on my shelf. I would highly recommend my Ninja Foodi Never Stick Stock Pot to others!

Great Stock Pot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ninja Premium Anti-Scratch Nest System 8-Quart Stock Pot with Glass Lid Ninja™ Foodi™ NeverStick® is wonderful for cooking soups, stews, chili, and boiling potatoes. The pot heats evenly and boils water quickly. Cleaning the pot is easy because nothing has stuck yet, but the lid is slightly harder to clean. Food sticks to the glass and I usually have to use a non-scratching scrubbing pad to remove all of food particles.
I’d definitely recommend this product and would buy more of it.

Must have item in your kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic staple pot that you need in your kitchen. I am not typically a fan of nonstick cookware because we all know that eventually it scratches and ends up trashed. This material seems indestructible. It’s huge at 8 quarts and I don’t think I could ever need a pot bigger than this for any soup or stew I could make. I love the stacking system if I want to add more to my collection. It works with induction if you have it. Oh and dishwasher safe? I mean… I don’t know that it gets any better as far as cookware is concerned. I’ve made soup, pasta, and sauce so far and everything was so easy to clean up!
