Great colors and unique models

I’m really into the lego creator expert car lines. Specifically the cars so the speed champions are always nice to have a smaller model. I love they increased the size of the speed champions models with last years and now this years set. The dragster is one of my favorite cars I’ve built. It is so unique so when I saw it as part of this set I needed it. It looks so good and the purple challenger is a awesome color that really stands out. Overall this is a great set and solid value for the amount of build time and just how great they look.

I feel this set is underrated; who cares about an old muscle-car and some weird dragster? I didn't... At first. But let me tell you, this set is FUN. The crazy color of the Challenger, the absurd engine and wing and body of the dragster, all of it just comes together for one of the most enjoyable sets to play with and to display.

Good models, but feels odd as a set.

I have built the two models and overall the build was fairly enjoyable.
I liked the classic Dodge Challenger muscle car, it's not often we get a classic muscle car in this theme.
The Dragster was alright, it's not the best in terms of proportions and small things like the wheels could of been done better in my opinion.
Overall a good set, but I feel like more people would be interested in getting the Dodge Challenger than the Dragster since it's a more known and appealing car and it is a street car that could fit right in your Lego city.
I very much appreciate that the minifigure on the Challenger is able to sit inside of the cockpit with the hair piece on considering it is a street car it makes a lot of sense.

Worth the Price!

For a 50 dollar set this is definitely worth the price. The muscle looks ultimately awesome, but the dragster is crazy good having more realism creativity. I think this set was the most challenging of them in my life. If you google search the Top Fuel Dragster in real life and watch a video, you'll see how insane the vehicle performs. Overall, the best set I've build this year so far.

Top Fuel Awesomeness

I was really excited for this set. Both cars are great but the top fuel dragster could have been a set all it's own. The build was fun and a lot of the detail in the models are great, But that being said there are a few details that could have definitely been done better. first there are no parachute/parachute packs on the rear of the car, secondly the header pipes are much to small, and lastly the rear tires are much to small. The tires that are used in this model are standard car tires when in reality the tire on the actual car is a large drag slick using the smaller tire makes the proportions look off on the rear of the car. Picture of actual can be easily found online for reference of the header and tire size. Probably easy enough to modify the model to correct these few issues but would be nice to not have to do that. All in all the set is great and I find the cost of the set to be reasonable. I would recommend the set.

A Refreshing Build
on June 19, 2021

I'm going to break this review into two parts, one for each vehicle. I picked this kit up along with the rest of the wave on release day, and forced myself to only build one vehicle a day to stretch it out. I saved the drag racer for last, and building it after all of the other cars gave me a very different but welcome building experience. It's long, it's cumbersome, but it's AWESOME. The small bicycle wheels in the front, and the larger wheels in the back combined with how long the build is and how big the engine is makes for an incredibly unique build that I love a lot. It may be my favorite individual vehicle of the wave. The only small nitpick I have with this one is that I would've liked to see a parachute on it, like actual drag racers have. The other car, the Dodge Charger, is nice to build, but has many of the same staples we see in the other Speed Champions builds, making it seem somewhat similar to the other builds. I know it's hard to help that, and there are a few neat things thrown in, but I really would've liked to see a few more notable building techniques. You get a decent amount of pieces in this set (Speed Champions seems to have one of the best price/part ratios of any theme), and the choice of vehicles for this pack is great. I do wish it had included a start/finish line like previous double-packs had, but I guess I have enough of those anyway. One other thing, and I will always say this: Please. Please stop with the stickers. I know prints cost more, but I know that I and many others would be willing to pay more if we got printed pieces and didn't have to hassle with stickers. Overall, this is a great set between it's price per piece and choice of vehicles. Recommended.
