Great toy!

My son loves Lego technics for their challenging build and also for their "mechanical" movements afterward. We've collected quite a few and they are by far his favorite because they are a "working" toy

Awesome Mechanics

I just recently got into building these kits since my wife bought me the Mustang for an xmas gift. I've since built the Defender, Lamborghini and the Porche 350gt.
I always enjoy seeing how they figure out the mechanics of each model. This truck is pretty cool in that department. The pnuematics on this model is really neat. It's a fairly straight forward build, alot of neat details for the price.
These kits are great for keeping your mind and hand coordination sharp. A really enjoyable build. The instructions are always top quality. Now I'm keeping my eye on the bulldozer.

Best set I’ve owned

This is such an amazing set with so many complex functions(my favorite are the outriggers) although I have found a few minor problems.
1. When I use the pneumatic pump, pressing it down puts a lot of strain on the model which causes pieces to separate.
2. I don’t know if this is just in my model, but when I roll it forward some pieces in the engine catch and make a loud clicking sound. When I roll it backwards it works just fine which seems odd. I don’t know if there is a fix for this, but in the meantime I’ve just removed the engine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can it be motorized?

Looks good but we'll get more for our money if there were motors(Electric motors) in it. All i'm just asking for is motors in it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

While this model features pneumatic pump functions including an extending lifting boom, a lifting crane boom and an extending crane boom - it wasn't designed for motorization. We’re sorry it’s not quite how you’d like it, but your feedback will help us make improvements in future sets.

This set is stunning and beautiful, nice colors and trim wish for fewer stickers but totally worth the $ It is a challenging build 669 steps. Tons of fun!

Great product, not over priced.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product, not over priced. Once lego puts a brand like Mercedes or Mack on an item, the price normally doubles to triples this price just for a brand. Great price for this item. To bad technical sets around the number of pieces doubles or triples just because they put Volvo, Mercedes, Mack, Etc on it!
Besides the missing parts that I've already ordered, one Pneumatic gear not working properly. This set is awesome.

Also need Miltary Vehicles. I find lego to be hypocrites when comes to this.
If they can make star war sets with war machines, guns, etc. (Yes, I know they're not real) then they should be able to make military Vehicles and mini figures as well.

HIALP! Outriggers are not working
