Satisfying Build - Tons of features!

This was a really fun, if very advanced, build. There were a ton of tricky Technic steps that felt like I was back building a Technic truck from the 90's! The overall build is very solid with tons of features. The truck is also pretty big. Make sure you have the shelf space for it. Definitely not for beginners!

Great Overall Build

This was a surprisingly challenging build. I picked up building these sets as a hobby to share with my son and now it's taken on a life of it's own so as an adult, finding sets that take time and attention to detail appeal to me.
This set has a number of gear configurations where if you miss something minor, it will definitely come back to bite you. Aside from this being a tow truck and really unlike anything Lego currently has, this was an enjoyable build and a nice addition to my growing collection. For the price, it's worth it. So if you see it, grab it.

Pneumatics worked well

I’ve built many “Technic” kits but the pneumatic components made it even more enjoyable to build. As always I use twizzers to align decals so they don’t stick to my fingers! Didn’t use the “Hulk” decals buy relocated the lightning which I liked better. And I eliminated the steering knob because I build my kits only for display. I think it looks better that way.

This set is fantastic. The build is challenging but not overly difficult and no repetition; the stickers are great and add tons of visual appeal; the functionality with the pneumatics is amazing. I would strongly recommend that you pick up this set before it retires. I look forward to many more large Technic sets, especially ones that incorporate the functionality that this set has.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set insane with its high piece count and low price with pneumatic functions. i know i am writing this a bit late but i also got the john deer skidder they made this year and it has pneumatic's as well as a lower piece count and higher price. this set is the definition of what lego technic is.

AWESOME Set!!!!

This is easily in my top 5 sets. The build was fun. It's very sturdy, so you would have no problem playing with it. The functions are very COOL!!! It makes the set. The value of this set is high, as the cost doesn't seem to match the size and complexity of this set. I would recommend this set. Get it before it's gone.

Worth more then the price

I have done a LOT of Lego sets, UCS, technic, Star Wars, etc. This set is one of the few I have done that I believe was worth more then I paid for it. All the functions, the look, the build and enjoyment of just seeing it on display make it one of my all time favorite builds. Sure you will get the haters on the color and the amount of stickers, but people please. If there is any downside it’s the time it takes to turn the gears to raise or lower the moving parts. I made a couple mods to make that a little faster, as you can see in the pics, and cmon, what tow truck doesn’t have chains. When this set becomes available again, GET IT, you won’t be disappointed.
