I got this Model beginning in Dec and it hasn't disappointed yet! I upgraded from having the S3, and am loving how close it comes to the edges and how long the larger tanks allow me to clean longer before having to fill/empty them!

Good semi automated floor cleaner. I would have given a 5 star rating except for the fact that unit does not fully clean our textured title floor completely. It leaves dirty reside in the deeper surfaces of the tile. I wish they offer a deeper nap map roller to penetrate these lower surfaces.

Cuts my cleaning time in half and better than S3

The S5 is an improvement from S3 with larger clean and dirty water tanks so I don't need to refill and empty the tanks as often. Also love the enhanced edge cleaning. I used to vacuum first, then mop and then vacuum a little bit more of the dirt left by the mop, but now I only need to use the S5 to go through my floor once. I made the mistake of adding Angry Orange to my S3 and that clogged up the unit, will stick to the Tineco cleaning solution only from now on.

Great for a small house with hard floors!

This was a gift for xmas for my husband and it worked better than even expected! We have three cats, hardwood and tile floors. This thing did an amazing job, it kept a charge through the entire house with over half power left when we were done. It uses little water but the floors are still so clean. The edge of the roller on one side goes right up against edges which is amazing! Its way less noisy than the Bissel I had previously and doesn't push cat hair and kibbles around. Worth every cent.

The spray come out automatically which sometimes isn't a plus. I don't like that it squirts on the backwards, pulling motion not the forwards motion so unless you go over it twice, the dirty water remains on the floor. It does dry quickly though. If you go over something twice, it cleans pretty well. The clean water and dirty water tanks are larger than most. The self cleaning works well.

I think this is the first review I have ever written, but I am just so impressed with this invention. I came across this in my search for a vacuum that would actually pick up dirt from my hardwoods rather than just pushing it around. It claimed to do the vacuuming and mopping in one step. I was skeptical but gave it a try. It really works! Not only does it whisk up every piece of dirt on one pass, it also simultaneously mops the area. If it is still dirty it indicates the need for another pass and even amps up the power until the area is clean. At the end you dump out the dirty water tank and think “Yuck that was on my floors?” I am not compulsive about cleaning by any means but never felt I or anyone I hired for the task did a good job cleaning my hardwood floors. It seemed like mopping was just pushing around the grit that the vacuum/sweeping had missed. With this machine, all dirt and grit goes into the dirty water tank. When you are done you push a button for it to do a self cleaning cycle(rinses the roller and flushes the whole system), more yuck in the tank to be dumped down the drain- then fill the clean water tank, put on charger, ready for next time. Love it!

Best Idea in a Long Time!p

About 2 months ago, at my son’s suggestion, I purchased the bottom line Tinneco. I have laminate floors throughout my house and since then I couldn’t be happier. I have 2 little dogs that make constant little messes and this machine works quickly, efficiently and effortlessly to get rid of them. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I only wish I had been able to buy the bigger, better model at the time. The only change I would make is a larger size water tank. Nevertheless, I’m very happy with my decision. Can’t wait until I can afford to get the bigger/better Tinneco.
