setup was fairly simple. using a wired backhaul unable to connect my dvr to the remote router had to run an extra cat 6 cable to main router to get internet access

So Far, A Great System

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this to replace an aging Linksys router that was no longer up to the task of handling the number of smart home devices currently in use. I spent considerable time deciding between brands, specs, and cost before choosing XT8. Setup was as easy as it gets; the Asus app is a big step up from my previous Linksys app, and aided in making the setup smooth w/no hiccups. So far, performance has improved across all devices, and I no longer experience some of the issues I had with my previous system. All in all, a great system at a nice price point.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Amazing coverage!

Picked up the two pack of XT8 mesh Wi-Fi routers a month or two ago. Disabled the supposedly “great” Wi-Fi from my high-end Motorola modem/router and plugged it into the XT8. Setup is very easy using the app, but you can drill down to precise controls if you want to. Wi-Fi strength in the house is a given for a mesh setup, but I have full signal at all corners of my property. Also, the XT8 handles 2.4 vs 5 GHz handoffs very well. I have multiple devices that are 2.4 only that work well now. Great stuff, and they look nice too!

Best Router I have ever owned

I bought 2 for the downstairs and it works great. I later purchased 1 for the upstairs. WiFi coverage is fantastic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy set up and was purchased to make full user of a1G fiber Internet connection also turned my older rt-ac5300 into a third node I'm still trying to dial in the wifi to get better than a500M speed but all in all very happy with the coverage and ease of use etc

So Easy to Setup

I just received my XT8 routers and was able to easily integrate them into my existing RT-AX92U network. WIFI coverage is greatly imroved.
