Perfect Rice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Zojirushi Umami Micom Rice Cooker & Warmer makes perfect rice. The rice is a fluffy and the perfect consistency without being sticky. The inner cooking pan can be removed for cleaning and it’s coating makes cleaning easy. It has a easy to read LCD Control Panel which includes a timer. The quick guide instructions are easy to follow and you will be cooking in just minutes. The cooker includes a very thorough instruction manual which includes delicious recipes. It can also be used as a slow cooker or warmer. You will enjoy using this versatile rice cooker.

Good features but it cooks rice slow

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the size of this rice cooker and that it can be used to steam veggies. I am not fond of how long it takes to cook rice. For just one cup of brown rice, the machine said it had to cook for 104 minutes which seems excessive. I normally forget to start the rice 30 minutes before eating so remembering that early would not be easy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

awesome rise cooker I've ever used. I really enjoy the rise smell when it is working. But I just have one concern about the coating inside that may cause some disease such as gene mutation or cancer. Why to use stainless steel material for the inner tank? If so the cooker will be perfect!

The inner pan has a non-stick coating containing PTFE- a material commonly used for non-stick coating in cookware for conventional kitchen use (FDA approved). Its a bit more complicated than my older Tiger steamer. We are not used to it and I've messed up my rice pretty bad. I'm hoping that over time I will figure out how to use it.

Thank you for your feedback! If you are used to a conventional rice cooker then it does require one more button press. All you would need to do is select the menu setting and then press start and the rice cooker will start the cooking setting and alert you once it's done. Im in love with this rice cooker ! The umami feature give you the best tasting rice.
Would have been awesome to include the retractable cord and the triple heating but aside from that it’s amazing.
