Makes quick work of edging driveway and sidewalk

I bought this edger to replace a string trimmer/edger and to speed up the time spent finishing up the lawn. I use the 2AH 80V battery that came with my Greenworks mower and it has plenty of power to complete the job, not using up even one battery life indicator per job. I'm still in the process of digging out a new edge in clay soil, so the edger sort of catches in the clay and propels the unit forward a little bit. If you are creating a fresh edge instead of maintaining an existing one, I recommend wearing long pants to shield your legs from debris.

I purchased the 80 Volt 8" Edger and now wish I had done it sooner. I bought the tool only version as I already had a battery from another tool. This thing is amazing! The power it has is simply astonishing, it edges the lawn quickly, quietly and looks like I hired a pro to do the job. I have had edgers of all types battery, corded and gas. I can easily say this is the best of them all.

I bought this edger on a whim so that I could use my 80v battery that I had previously purchased with my electric chainsaw. I really didn't need it as I had a gasoline edger that worked fine, but I figured I could use this for quick touch up. Now that I have it I will be getting rid of old gas edger. This thing works great, it's light weight, easy to use, but more importantly it is the best edge job I've ever had. The lawn looks so much better than when I use my gas edger. My only drawback is that sometimes the edger stalls out. It's only a minor inconvenience and just requires you to stop, lift the edger and start again. I would definitely recommend this machine.

The 80v edger runs with power that rivas that of an electric plug in competitor without the hassle of the chord. Worth the purchase unless you don’t mind holding your string trimmer in an awkward position to do the edging. If you have a lot of edging to do then it’s probably better to get the tool designed to do it. The battery life also lasts a long time.
