While we live in an ideal low humidity location for swamp type coolers to work, we did not get much cooling from this appliance. It seemed mainly to just increase the humidity in our living space.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my second time buying this! Because the first time it just stopped cooling after only a month of using it! and then I exchanged it for the second one, and the second one just arrived with the same issue! I'move read through the manual multiple times and even brought it to geek squad to get it repaired but here we are! still a broken fan and my room is not any cooler! thanks for nothing < 3
