This chrome book lasted 6 days. It smoked and made a popping sound while being charged. Suspect it was a defective unit. Return was quick and easy. Actually ordered another one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This chrome book is fast and light in weight. Bought it for my grandson who is in grade 10 and he just loves it. From price to the staff at Best Buy, to the product, I am 100 percent satisfied and definitely recommend his chromebook.

Bought this for my young daughter to use for her virtual learning and we both love it. For her It’s really easy to use because she has the option of using the the touchscreen instead of the trackpad. I’ve already recommended this product to other family members and friends. This is a really good investment.

Questionable Reliability

Ordered two of these to replace two refurbished units (from a Best Buy marketplace seller) that were dead on arrival. Figured it was safer to buy brand new than take the gamble on another refurbished unit.
The Acer's arrived promptly and seemed to be nice units, but one of them died after a few hours and now refuses to recognize the charger or turn on, no lights, not even a charging indicator. I literally closed the screen for half an hour to go and eat supper, and it was dead when I opened it back up. The other is working fine and recognizes the charger, so I know that's not the issue.
I've had Acer products before, they're not my favorite, but they seemed okay. I'm taking the gamble that it was just rotten luck, and asking for an immediate replacement; but I'm now skeptical of this brand.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So far this Chromebook has been great. The battery life is excellent and meets all my needs for a small laptop at the cottage.

For this ol gal, it is lightweight and thin. Easy to use, and with the HP printer I've become pretty much independent. Thanks Best Buy.
