It’s great as a school laptop. Small, lightweight and perfect screen size. The system is really quick, not lagging at all. There is no memory card slot but it’s okay.

good battery life, i like the spin aspect of it, nice to wacht youtube video with-out being distracted by the keyboard.Only hd display, but clear and good viewing angle

Meets the requirements

Still a Chromebook, with basically is a tablet with keyboard, but it's very functional, nice display, nice speed. I found it very useful to me as a handy "semi laptop", very light to carry on, and battery last long.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great chromebook & gift

Buying as gift but did lots of research & reviews. What helped me decide was a great price for the specs, great battery life (energy star rated), does everything you need for daily online use, lightweight/ portable, 2-1 laptop/ tablet touchscreen with good screen quality, easy set up with gmail, built in security & OS support until June 2028- according to Google. This Acer Spin 311 is well built and very functional. Black Friday deal right now, perfect gifting.

This Chromebook fits my needs perfectly! I basically only use it for internet browsing, watching Netflix, listening to music on Spotify, and Google drive (docs, sheets, etc.) Chromebooks in general are fantastic if that's what you'll be using them for; definitely don't expect these things to run any intensive games because that's not what they're built for. I love this laptop in particular because it can turn into a tablet which is amazing! That was something that was important to me because I like watching Netflix in bed haha. I don't have too many complaints about it - other than I miss having a CAPS lock keyboard button (it's replaced by a "search" button) but I think this might be standard for smaller Chromebooks? You're still able to use the CAPS lock function by holding down both the search and ALT buttons on your keyboard at the same time but it still trips me up lol. It also doesn't have a backlit keyboard but this isn't really an issue; would've been more of a bonus if anything. Touchpad is super responsive and smooth. Keyboard feels really nice to type on. Love that there are brightness adjustment and volume buttons on the keyboard itself. Highly recommend this Chromebook!!
