Bottle has a funky “new bottle” smell

It was a great gift!!!
But the product itself was a bit of a let down. There's a metallic and almost coppery smell that permeates and clings to the bottle, especially after an Adventure mode clean. There's also almost no insulation at all. It would also be good if more information about exactly how the bacteria killing UV light works would be good!

LOVE my new LARQ bottle!

I've been using the same 40oz water bottle for 14 years, but stopped carrying it with me when I left the house when the cap just wouldn't seal properly anymore. For over a year, I was buying Smart Waters and bringing them to work and out, but finally emotionally lost it over the amount of plastic I was putting into the recycling bin per month. I discovered LARQ while looking for another stainless steel water bottle, and since I like to be able to leave my travel bottle in the car, a self-cleaning bottle was a pleasant surprise to find and an immediate MUST HAVE. I am not disappointed. This bottle, in 60 seconds, changes the way my water tastes and smells (and I use a triple filter Berkey water system to fill it), so I know it's cleaning the bottle and keeping the water I care so much about, absolutely clean and fresh. If my kids didn't lose everything expensive, I'd buy all 6 of them this bottle. For now, I'll just enjoy mine and keep theirs washed once per week. :-)

Paint Seems To Be Rubbing Off But Still A Good Bottle

I’m a little disappointed that there seems to be paint coming off the bottle from twisting and untwisting the cap given the price tag on this product. But it does what it’s supposed to and I’m happy about that.

Easy to use sanitizer. Pebble sleeve was easy to take off for cleaning. Lightweight. Bottle lip was comfortable against my lips while drinking.
