It is loud when it drops but so worth it. There is a little mat in the ice tray. You do get use to the sound. I like the ice in the door & water feature too. It sanitizes every hour. I did have to put a mat in front of the fridge because tiny pieces of ice do pop out when getting ice but not that big a deal. The fridge is wide enough to hold a Little Caesars pizza box. There are 2 drawers in the freezer. Very useful. The smudge proof doors are awesome! I like the door in door feature for drinks & condiments. It’s the main reason I went with this fridge. I just love this side by side. Plenty of room. I’m so glad I bought it. Worth the price.
