[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the 13” X1 after using the 14” version for work. Loved the 14” X1, but it was not in stock. The problem with the 13” X1 is the screen size. The dimensions are like the the old 4:3 ratio tvs. Everything else about it is great though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine has a good sized screen, is light weight and easy to use. However, this is my second machine in 2 weeks. The first one came with a speaker driver that did not work and could not be upgraded. The inconvenience caused by the lack of quality control is inexcusable.

The screen is very reminescent of a 4:3 and when you are used to a wide 16:9 format, nothing fits right. The sound id horrible with a cracking noise and the battery life is barely 3 hours. I do like the keyboard and the weight.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sent this laptop and got it up and running; however, the speakers were completely busted. I spent all day trying to fix them by doing all computer updates, driver installations, etc. In the end, I had to go through the process of returning it. Lenovo did make the process quite simple, and sent a brand new laptop within days. This one has worked great and no issues present. I still plan to purchase Lenovo products. I do think Lenovo should just double check all aspects of products before sending out.

The fan comes on more often than i was hoping, the keyboard is a pretty huge step back from my old x1 carbon 7th gen, the trackpad didn't work at all (initial order). replacement one seemed to work fine. The material of the laptop simply didn't feel as premium as i was hoping based on the materials used. I returned it and will wait for 2nd generation.
