Good computer, but shoddy assembly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good computer. There was a bit of a hardware problem that required fixing. One of the speakers was rattling around. It was fixed under warranty with a bit of double sticky tape. Maybe it would be a good idea to use adhesive in assembly to prevent such a problem.

Love it with one exception

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This laptop is perfect with one exception -- sometimes when I open the laptop, it doesn't wake up and I have to force it to restart. I've tried adjusting all the sleep/hibernate settings with no luck. I would LOVE to fix this problem and then this computer would be perfect.

Portable computer but with areas of improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hi, I recently bought this computer as my main work laptop and I can say that in terms of performance and portability its very solid. However, the fan is noticeable loud and the build quality of the titanium cover is not what I expected; after a week of use it developed a deformation on a corner that looks as if the metal sheet raised a bit from the border and this is not a dent or anything. Despite that minor issue, it's a great work laptop.

It works... mostly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was talked into switching my order for a X12 detachable for this computer after the 'ships in 7 days' turned into 6 months for the X12. In short, it is an ok computer, but a disappointment. The first time I took it on a site visit the wifi stopped working, there is some discoloration starting on the chassis (looks like overheating?) and for something that is supposed to be ultra-portable and used as a tablet part of the time the lack of any sort of case is a real shortcoming. Also, because they have completely removed the standard USB port, I need to travel with a bag of adapters and port replicators.
Performance-wise, it seems acceptable, but has essentially the same specifications and performance as the C930 Yoga that I purchased 3 years ago for less money.
The screen is sharp and clear, but does tend to pick up fingerprints, and there are some issues with delays and not registering the pen input consistently. I also wish they had a pen slot, or more secure way of storing the pen (the magnetic side of the screen is nice, but not really secure, its more of a way to keep the pen from rolling around if you are sitting somewhere with the computer, not holding it while walking or carrying the laptop in a bag). Finally, the aspect ratio of the display means that the computer dimensions are fairly unique, so you can't repurpose many accessories for other computers (like protective cases or sleeves, etc.)
Also, the thunderbolt port spacing is just slightly different (maybe 1mm or less) from many other models. That makes port replicators with dual plugs that seem like they should fit incompatible.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
