Makes bedtime fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved this product in exchange for a honest review. I am currently using this for my 4 year old and she has started to enjoy getting ready for bed. Hopefully in a few more weeks she will willingly do her activities without encouraging her. She runs into her room excited activities are lit up for her to complete. It took a little figuring out to set up. My only complaint is it does not make noise or alert you on the phone when activities are ready to complete. Otherwise, this is a great concept and I cannot wait for bed time to be a breeze. Oh, a plus is the soothing lights and music it plays, my 1 year old loves the songs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best nightlight/ routine system ever!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently got this for my daughter who is 18 months. First of all it connects with your phone, how cool is that! Your are able to manage volume of the many sounds it provides for your child to sleep. Your are also able to manage how bright you want the night light. The Lumalou also helps kids of older age set up a routine for when it gets close to bedtime they can get their tasks done for the day. It also includes a remote that older kids can use to manage the product themselves when each task is done. Definitely recommend getting this for your child as it will grow with them and let them have an easier way to set a routine and enjoy it as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love the Lumalou. It is such a fun way to develop and encourage a morning and bedtime routine. Our girls love pushing the button to complete a task and seeing the lights and music on the screen. The music and lights for the nighttime soother are calming and help them get ready to settle down for the evening. I love that there are 3 extra icons that you can customize to add to your routine. The only downside is that you are only able to save one routine per day. The advantages to this product far outweigh this however! We love it and highly recommend it for anyone with little ones!

Disappointed with Sleep Trainer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Happy with the routine system, my 3.5 year old loves that. But the sleep trainer is not comparable to other sleep trainers (like gro clock) with other trainers, the light to indicate it’s still night time is always illuminated, until it’s time to wake, and then the light that indicates it’s okay to wake up, stay illuminated. On this, the light only lights up of the kid pressed the button on the remote, which stops the music, and for us, our kid is in a loft bed, and the remote is kept on his dresser across the room, so for him to go down the stairs of his bed, and across the room to check and see if it’s time to wake up yet is not very sensible. I would much prefer the light be able to stay lit up for an hour or so before wake up, and an hour or so after wake. The current system doesn’t make any sense and doesn’t work for most. I really hope Fisher-Price can fix this problem, as it seems to be a problem among a lot of reviews. I still like the product and would recommend it, I just am displeased with the sleep training aspect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter and I love this! It has great features such as routine checklist, music and lights and ok to wake notifications. I love that it can be used from infancy through toddlerhood. The only things I wish were different is that it has not option other than wall mount- I used a picture frame holder as a stand, as I didn’t want to make holes in my wall. I also wish the star light became green on it’s own when it is time to wake and not that my daughter had to press the remote in order to see whether the star is green or red. overall this is a great quality product that I’m looking forward to continue to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Lumalou is pretty amazing! A soother and kids weekly planner all in one. I'll start by saying my soon to be 3 year old is obsessed with pushing the button to see what comes next, so much so I have to hide the button when we're done. We've been using it for wake up & bedtime routines and he's always eager to start a routine, more than I had expected him to be honestly.
Now for the features..You'll need an app, which is super easy to use. With the app you can set routines, and change settings such as dimming lights, lower music, selecting nature sounds instead of music, change light pattern etc. You can easily control it from you phone without having to disturb your little one. Routines and sleep trainer are easily set and customizable. The routines start and the task is illuminated with music(also customizable). Once each task is completed the star has a smiley face and sound which my son adores. For the sleep trainer a green star illuminates when its wake up time, and a red star when they should still be sleeping. When they push the button this star illuminates. For the soother you can choose which light color pattern you'd like, choose the time music and lights should go off(each can be played & timed separately.) There is a preset soothing function as well if you're not into customizing.The soother function plays music, nature, and sound choices. You can easily start and stop the soother with the app or button.
I think the Lumalou is an amazing product and I wished I had this with all my kids, the youngest of 5 is using it now!
I would definitely recommend it, but there are a few things I wished were different..
First, the pairing button which helps connect to the app is located flush on the bottom. Somehow my kid found this button instantly and likes to push it all the time. I felt this button might have been better placed at the top so littler ones can't access it. As of right now the app says there can only be 1 routine a day, I'd prefer 2 so we could use it for AM & PM..you can easily set/edit though, which is what I do. I wish there was a bed illumination task, I feel that would be better for the little ones who don't always want to settle(my kid). For the sleep trainer I would have liked to see something stay illuminated green/red throughout the time(time display maybe?)instead of having to push the button. Finally the music and lights, it'd be nice if you could add more/different music. My kid loves twinkle twinkle little star, it's not an option. As for the lights more customizable options would've been nice, there are 3 now.

Not a lot of features for the price

We bought a Lumalou for our child and you can only program with this application. The whole design is a mess. You HAVE to provide a time for a routine to start but you can’t have more than one routine per day. Why do I have to set a time? Who’s problem is that solving?
The only options for sleeping and waking is setting a bedtime but the red light doesn’t display for more than a couple of seconds making it valueless as a stay in bed light. Ditto for wake up, the light turns green for just a few seconds and then turns off. If your child isn’t awake and facing the clock in those moments they’ll never see it, so it’s no good as a wake up light either.
The routine feature is good but it’s not worth $100 and it’s bad at everything else.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome concept!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a super cute idea! Right now I’m using it for a soother since my little one is 2. But I will definitely utilize the routine tracker. My 2 year old needs white noise to help her sleep and this definitely has several options. Right now we’re using the rain sounds. And we love the customizable lights!
