I have had the Garmin R10 for about a month. I have figured out how to properly use it and set it up. I would highly recommend David Maxfields videos on YouTube to help you get the most out of the unit. I have been hitting balls mindlessly into a net in my basement for years. Now with the Garmin R10 I know how far I hit each shot and get instant feedback on what I am actually doing when I hit a shot. Practice is fun now and I also like playing the golf courses on E6. I can’t recommend this unit enough. It’s been a total game changer for me. I live in the northwest and getting to play golf from November to March is almost impossible. Now I can practice and play some golf and not “try to find my swing” in spring. I am a +2 handicap so this is great unit for better players as well. Bottom line is I wish I had bought this sooner.

Is it perfect? No, but it gets you playing more in your off time which makes you better. Works well at getting distances for your clubs. Once you know the distance of each you just have to make good shots. Home tee hero works wonderful on my projector setup and the family really enjoys playing golf in the basement. No better tool (aid) for the expertvoice cost IMO
I've only had the r10 for a month, but it's one of my favorites. I have Garmin:watches, dog training, dog tracking(saved my butt more than once) and sonar(several). This is definitely one of the coolest. The only thing is - it's not as accurate as others out there. I'm sure more updates are coming, but maybe you can use one of your other technologies. How about combing the r10 with your camera stuff to create an upgradeable system that would incorporate optical with your radar techs? It would be just as accurate and probably cheaper than what's out there now,

green light indicates connection with ipad, no other devices with bluetooth are no or near the garmen. I raise and lower and left and right and forward and back, still no tracking. Net is moved forward and back. R10 within 6 feet, net has been at least 10 feet from tee. it was working two days before

Thank you for your review and experience with the Approach R10. We would like to discuss this further over email. If you would please email us at product.support@garmin.com. Thanks Jenny
I purchased this for winter use in my garage. I have 6' to 8' from monitor to ball and 10' to 12' from ball to target and net. I installed a black tarp as a background.. and covered the concrete floor with carpet remnants. I installed two 6000 lumen ceiling lights for illumination. The monitor would only record 150 yd max drives... I normally drive 200 yd average . Very disappointing.. really wanted this to work. Returned to store.

Setup out of the box was super easy. Powered on and right away I was on the driving range. Garmin r10 is really accurate and can show the the bad shots as well as the good. Very pleased and great experience with the Garmin.

I like the features such swing speed, the left to right deviation, back and side spin. problem is in my garage distance seems to be 40 - 50 yards short. tells me I hit a 5 iron 90-100 yards. I'm not a long-distance hitter but at the driving range I get around 150 yards. I'm waiting for it to get warm enough outside to use it to compare numbers. My garage is cement floor and it does say that affects the radar. So, I'm working on covering floor with indoor outdoor carpet. Then I will be able to get a more accurate reading. For now, I'm more interested in just learning to hit the ball straight. It does that fine.
