R10 is a nice tool with limitations

I’ve had the R10 for several months now and incorporated into an indoor simulator setup. I like the features and functionality but it is not accurate for swing speed or distance especially with the driver. It also often fails to capture shots and it can only project in portrait mode on the screen with no Mac connectivity. Software hansnt been updated in years. It’s a great little tool but I’ll need to upgrade to something else given these limitations and the fact that Garmin doesn’t appear to be supporting the product with any firmware upgrades. You might expect less at this price point but unless the technology/platform is highly limited, I’d think they could put more into the product to enhance and improve

I can’t say enough good things about the Approach R10. This little launch monitor has completely transformed how I practice and play. It's Fantastic

This little gadget is pretty cool, in a few sessions I was able to diagnose specific problem areas with my swing and with the help of a coach and or even ChatGPT I was able to develop an action plan to improve and fix certain issues. Highly recommended for the Golf nerd who is keen on game improvement.

I've only used the R10 about 3 times now. Super easy to set up, download the app and get it running. The reported results compared to the actual ball flight is different. It works most of the time, but the ball flight isn't recorded accurately. My preferred shot is a push-draw so the ball ends up straight ahead. The R10 doesn't record the draw part and shows the ball flight as a push-fade. This often happens when the ball is near the sides of the narrow field of "view". I use this mainly on the range and not into a net so I can compare where the ball actually goes. I have to readjust the direction of the R10 when I shoot for other flags which is understandable. If I can get it to where it is relatively accurate, I'll be happy. Still a work in progress.

I bought this about 2 weeks ago and have used it everyday. It is very accurate inside and outside. If you are looking for a quality low priced launch monitor this is the one.

I bought the Garmen a while ago and like it for the practical training elements it can develop. Right now I’m using it to develop better distance control using the same club, varying the length and speed of the swing to hit to different carry distances. I also am using it for clubhead speed training.
