I replaced my PRGR with the Garmin R10 and added the Awesome Golf app. I’ve upgraded my backyard hitting area which allows me to take full advantage of the R10’s sensing capabilities. Consequently I don’t have to drive to the range anymore. Now for the work to improve my game.

I bought this a year ago and ive been using constantly for my practices, but more than half of the time it doesn't read my swings or worse, being in "green" mode and matched... even so, it still doesn't measure my shots. It has more flaws than I expected.

Thank you for your review and experience with the Approach R10. We would like to discuss this further over email. If you would please email us at product.support@garmin.com. Thanks Jenny
I have it set up outdoor using a net. Having a great time practicing and playing rounds of golf with my friends and kids. Overall it seems very accurate. Chip Shots, Drives, fairway shots. I was able to easily find the golf courses that I frequent and pay in the golf simulatior.

The product works well when it works. currently I am having connection issues where the bluetooth keeps kicking in and out which is somewhat frustrating as it takes a minute to connect again. The overall concept of the product and its internal functions do work well however. I purchased this product to get back on track post back surgery and help teach my wife how to play and with the connection issues this is a bit difficult. Not sure if there is a solution to this but if anyone else has this issue it would be helpful for any tips.
I've had about 6 range sessions with the R10 and love the feedback the unit provides. On my first session I set the R10 up next to a launch monitor that cost about 10X the R10 price. The distances were +/- 2 yds, the speeds were within 5 mph and the Garmin provided some metrics the other unit didn't offer (such as angle of attack). The spin rates were way apart (+/-1000 RPM). Love the ability to capture associated video. Also love the ability to provide voice feedback after each shot. I feel like I've only scratched the surface of this units capability. I'm excited to continue to learn more about the unit and play better golf because of the feedback and if nothing else, the R10 makes practicing fun.

Too inconsistent and inaccurate to be worth anything. Setup is easy. You have to pay monthly for garmin golf which is not worth it. It's so inconsistent with tracking and videoing your swing that I have just deemed it worthless. Data points are really inaccurate and can really only track clubs with a high loft. Anything past a 5 iron for me it had a tough time getting shot data. Was a cheap way for me to setup golf in my backyard but the technology and accuracy just isn't there.
