They need to add if you are right handed or left handed, I think the data would be more accurate

Best training tool for beginner and intermediate golfers

I've been golfing seriously for less than a year. I do not have the time or always spare finances to go golfing or a driving range every weekend or even once a month. I am in a smaller dimension garage than ideal for this device, but I have just enough room to make it work. With this device and the free driving range, I take anywhere from 10 to 50 practice swings most mornings before getting ready for work. This can take me anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes. I practice in the evenings as well if I have down time. This has made golf much more accessible for someone like me, and increased my enjoyment of the sport tremendously.
Some things to note.
1. It took me a few months to get my space set up so I could comfortably swing. My ceilings are just short of 9 feet, so every now and then I'll catch the ceiling but no holes so far.
2. Shanking a ball is always a risk. Get a wide net. Tall is great. Wide is a must because it saves drywall. I have patched a few holes but thats all simulators, not just this. Side nets will be in my future for certain.
3. I am inside a concrete garage. This unit can already be a little finicky to set up correctly. Sometimes, it reads distances pretty short. Could be my bruised ego, but I have found that several people suggest adjusting the altitude settings up to a few thousand feet instead of sea level due to radar signals bouncing off walls and sometimes limited space for ball flight.
4. This one is a luxury option. This unit will work with regular golf balls. I do personally suggest the titleist PRO V1 RCT balls. They're expensive. But the RCT ball does help a lot with spin rates. This is useful for shot shaping work if you're ready for that. Also, striking a high end ball like the Pro V1 for practice improves your performance on the course. This isn't some super soft ball thats going to help you like a nitro in my opinion. I don't play with Pro V1 balls on the course.
5. Buy a good mat. Some people say turf makes you feel better about yourself as you hit nicer off turf than grass. That's all well and good, but if you're properly hitting your irons down into the matt, you're going to want one with good padding. A poor matt or zero cushion between you and a concrete or other solid floor is going to hurt. You will be sore.
6. This unit does work with everything from driving to chipping. Sometimes a really short chip wont get picked up. The unit does miss reads sometimes. Every now and then, I'll hit a ball and get no data. This could be because distances in my space or the unit isn't set up perfectly in line with the ball. But this is not a foresight 10k+ unit. I'll take a few missed reads every now and then. It does read the majority. And it reads the majority of these well. Nothing more confidence crushing than shanking the ball sideways and dodging it as it comes back at you, then seeing the Garmin say you hit it 40+ degrees right and getting all the data on the ball that almost hit you in the face. And that it only went 30 yards. Makes you feel like a real winner there.

Not very accurate

Was net hitting at home with poor accuracy results decided to take it to the range to so I could see the ball fly. The r10 was only registering about half of the distance the ball was achieving

I’ve only had my R10 for three weeks, but it’s already made great improvements in my overall play. The video, along with instant feedback is invaluable. The quality I get I would have expected to pay more. Great product!!!

Meh

I have had it for a few weeks and at the driving range it seems to be way off about 50 percent of the time. 2 identical shots show up very differently on the device. I sync it and calibrate it each time. I put it behind the proper distance and prop it up on the case. Is there a way to make it more accurate?
