Scotts ezseed dog spot repair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Put down Scotts ezseed dog spot repair sun and shade 2 pounds. I tilted the area that I spread this product added some ground soil additive. The grass seed started to grow then it died out. I don't know if the original ground soil has too much of some kind of additive.

Not For Me!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Did not meet my standards and very dissatisfied with this particular Scotts product. Usually Scotts delivers and have been a loyal customer for over 40+ years. Will not give up on Scotts as most of their products are right on point. Will still be a lotal customer.

Only a 25% Lawn Patch repair

Yes, this does work for smaller patches, but a 10" patch may need a different product. I used to have a small tree in my front yard; it was removed before I bought this home. Tired of tripping when walking in the front, I filled the cavity with topsoil, and peat; then, I added EZ Seed, the outer edges of the cavity sprouted, but the larger center did not. I followed the directions, on the box/can, but no more sprouts. I will rake in some regular grass seed, and fertilizer to see if this works better. I am really disappointed with this product, Scotts can do better.

You should start seeing germination in 6-14 days under ideal growing conditions. It will take about a month for all the seed to germinate. We recommend for temperatures to be consistently in the 65+°F range for cool season grasses. We recommend to apply cool season grasses in Spring or Fall. We recommend watering 1-2 times per day to keep the seeds moist, until seed germinates. Then, we recommend watering about 1-1 1/2" per week as needed. Both excessive moisture and not enough moisture can inhibit seed germination.
