10 days in watering twice a day everyday. My prep work could have been better but so far so good. With all the better I peeped the area I have to assume the bad reviews are due to lack of moisture. If it looks dry and feels dry it needs water.

I bought 2 bags for an area about 6x6. I easily covered the entire area with 1 bag. I grew almost no grass. I suspected maybe the weather, so i put the 2nd bag on. I watered plenty. The weather is in the 70’s in Colorado . Still nothing! This product is crap i would bot purchase again !!

Put down sun and shade mix 2 weeks ago Tilled soil put down Scott’s lawn soil used Scott’s spreader as directed raked seed into soil. Watered 2-3 times a day Now have about 65% new grass coverage with multiple tall weed seedlings in grass

Great grass seed and fertilizer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This grass seed with fertilizer is great! It is easy to apply! It only needs 2" of dirt to start growing! I simply raked it into the ground and watered it twice daily and it started to grow quite fast! This product will not disappoint!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Shocked at how fast it started to sprout. I have needed to grow some grass since we re did some areas in our yard. I put the seed down thinking it would take a few weeks to start seeing growth. It was with in less then a week I started seeing grass. It is now thick and full. Looks amazing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Starting to see blades of grass after about 1 week!! I have one area of my lawn that is shaded from the house and have had trouble getting grass to grow. I followed the directions and watered, watered, watered (be careful not too much that you get puddles or wash away the seed!!) just enough to keep it moist. I am pleasantly surprised that the grass is growing and quickly. Very happy I tried this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had part of my back yard torn apart because of utility work and need to repair it to bring it back to the way it was. This bag of Scotts Rapid Grass Sun and Shade mix arrived just in time. Instructions on the back of the bag couldn't be any clearer. Simple and precise instructions, when followed will give optimum results! There is also a guide to let you know what setting to use depending on the kind of spreader you operate. I have tried other brands and wound up with more weeds then lawn whenever I needed to patch up a spot. Then I started using Scotts brand and never looked back. I have been using Scotts products for over 10 years now as they have never let me down and this product is no different! Watering twice a day and mowing to the correct height of 2-3 inches will have my lawn looking fantastic in no time!! Quality product and recommend you give it a try whenever you need to repair or start a new lawn. You will be very pleased with the results!!
