This year's seed seems bad compared to last year

This product worked great last year, but when I applied to bags this year, it did not work at all with the same level of watering. I am seeing other reviews and it looks like you had some bad batches of seed and you should own up to it. If you were willing to give me a coupon for 2 free bags I would be willing to try your product.

Very happy with this Rapid Grass product

3 weeks and 4 days, that's how long it took the grass to grow to 3 - 4 inches long. We did not cover with hay or anything else. We did water it twice a day the first 2 weeks and then once a day. It is now 5.5 weeks and we have cut it once. To those who have not had good results watering too little is likely the problem. We did 30 - 40 minutes twice a day at first, then 30 - 45 minutes once a day. Local conditions, Drought, temperature mid to upper 80's day low 60's at night. Ground conditions medium to heavy clay. Major re-sloping of back yard to achieve proper drainage.

Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A contractor came through the neighborhood in the heart of winter trenching and laying new cable for the power company. I raked up the trenched areas after the recent thaw and used my Scott’s spreader to quickly over-seed during this dormant time. This was a very easy task that took little time. Seed was small in size and made its way down to soil. Looking forward to the arrival of spring in a few weeks and a beautiful lawn.

I'm a lawn novice, which is why I am confused. My spring yard looked like hell. Dethatched, arerated, added thin layer of peat moss, and seeded. I have watered daily unless it rained. Seeds first touched ground 20 days ago.
Now, my only question is: "How soon can I cut this stuff!".
My confusion comes from how can there be so many 1 star reviews! I there that product varibility ? Did Scotts fry some seeds? Did I just get lucky?

Best grass seed on the planet!

For six years, I’ve been trying to find a good grass seed. Scott’s Sun & Shade Mix of Rapid Grass is phenomenal. It sprouts in 4-5 days and completely fills in thickly in 2-3 weeks. Best grass seed ever.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Grass planted easily and grew fairly quickly with starts visible in as little as 7 days. Filled in quickly and I believe can be planted year round with appropriate water. I would definitely purchase again.

Grass grew in very nice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used this product on an area that our dogs urinated on, and killed the grass. This product worked great. Added a littler fresh soil, this product, and watered regularly, we had grass growing within a short time.
