Highly recommend!

We used Scott’s Rapid 2X seed and 3 weeks we went from dirt to a full yard. We also used a soil conditioner called Soil Hume, weed killer meant for new seedlings called Tenacity, and Pete moss. We watered every day. Amazing results!

Grows Fast!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to use. Be sure to water every day. It took one week to germinate and three weeks for full growth. Its grows much faster than other seed I have used. Will definitely buy again. This is a great buy.

I overseeded my front yard 3 weeks ago with this grass seed and it looks absolutely amazing !!! 6 days after I seeded I had grass seed coming up , 2 weeks I was cutting my lawn at 3”, and then 3 weeks in see the pictures. Best lawn I’ve ever had . I’ve tried different grass seed over the years and never could get grass to grow to well in my front yard but this grass seed did amazing. I put this seed down in April in Kentucky

Easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This grass sun and shade mix is very easy to spread and plant. The seeds are small and the contents fit into my seed spreader perfectly. They were dispersed easily and evenly. I am waiting for growth now. I like how smoothly the whole planting process was.

I bought this in the spring. The only thing that Grew was crabgrass. Now it is the end of August and I am pulling crabgrass. I put a weed and feed triple action and barely killed the crabgrass killed a little bit of what little grass I have I wanna cry.
I oh that we will have some nice weather until the end of October at least however this is New England. You never know. I have spent so much money on this yard and now I’m spending more in my yard doesn’t even look good

It is normal to have some weeds germinate when seeding. There are approximately 10,000 weed seeds per 1 cubic foot of native soil. Soil preparation brings weed seeds to the surface. All Scotts seed is thoroughly cleaned and is 99.9% weed seed free, in fact The Scotts Advantage states weeds are removed from our crops by filtering Scotts seed 3 times. Our grass seed is harvested in June/July, well before the time of crabgrass maturity which occurs during late summer when it sets seed. Therefore it's not possible our crop can be contaminated with crabgrass seeds. Soil amendments such as manure and straw often contain weed seeds. Weed seeds can be blown or carried into area prior to grass seed becoming established. We recommend that focusing on establishing the lawn first; weeds can be controlled later. A healthy, thick lawn will ward off most weeds.

Perfect cool season grass seed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are three types of cool season grass seed in the package and all of them are quality cultivations. The reason why it called “rapid grass” is it contains 25% of perennial ryegrass.
It germinates pretty fast so it acts as a helper to prevent other seeds moving by the rain. Pretty happy with the result so far!

Great fast results

I’ve used this sun/shade mix for 2 seasons and I’m really suprised with the results. I live in Michigan, and I ripped up a bunch of damaged pavers and laid soil in a large area off my patio. I followed the instructions and frequently watered the seed every day. And within just over a month (34 days) I was able to entertain people for a party and get many compliments on my lawn. Again, follow the instructions and you shouldn’t have any problems.
