Literally not a single seed germinated

I spread 4 bags of this seed over a very shady area. The soil had been heavily aerated in October, and fertilized 3 weeks prior to planting. I am not exaggerating in the least when I say that not a single seed took root. Not one.
Cons: Didn't work as expected, waste of time and money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Waste Of Money

Planted seed in Scott's topsoil, watered as instructed. Saw few sprouts, but not enough to make it worthwhile.

This seed performs best when temperatures are between 60-85 degrees. If the temperatures are averaging over that, it may have inhibited germination. I have new grass!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Even though this product is really designed for more Southern lawns, I thought I would try it in my NE Ohio lawn on some hot dry spots. Well it worked very well! I'm very happy with how it has filled in so far.

Worked better than expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was doubtful that when I got this product that it would work during the summer months. It was a really hot summer for our area and the rest of my lawn was starting to go dormant. I had an area that needed to be seeded, so I just followed the directions and about 10 days later grass started growing. I did also buy Scott's lawn soil which is recommended for when you seed your lawn.
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective, Good Directions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] seeded my lawn and have reseeded with this product. very good in high traffic areas. it performed very well along the edges of my grass where everyone tend to step on when parking and getting out of their cars! I tried every kind of seed and nothing worked prior to this. This area is also in a sunny area that gets quite dry. I would buy this product again.
