Great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a robust seed. Not much soil prep and it really takes off. I have a mix of really sunny and really shady area in my yard, and this seems to do well in both locations. Keep is watered and you will love the results.

Not Germinating Yet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 3 weeks the seeds have not germinated. I spread it on my existing lawn which is getting a little thin so I thought adding the grass seeds would help. In all fairness I have relied on the rain to keep the lawn moist. It it never does sprout at least there is some fertilizer in the blend.

For cool season grasses (Bluegrass/Rye/Fescues) soil temperatures must be at least 55℉ for grass seed to germinate. This means that the daytime temperatures must consistently be above 65℉. For warm season grasses (Bermudagrass/Centipede/Zoysia/Bahia) soil temperatures must be between 75℉ and 90℉. Cool or fluctuating nighttime temperatures will slow germination. Both excessive moisture and not enough moisture can inhibit germination. Germination times vary by seed type.

Great working product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This grass seed works and fast. The grass seed was laid the first week of April and it’s sprouted in less that two weeks. I filled in some bare areas around a tree that needed filling in and covered with Scott’s turf builder lawn soil.

Very Good Tall Fescue Grass Seed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had quite a few (more than 10) worn or bare places in my lawn. I had already started preparing the ground for reseeding before getting the Scotts Tall Fescue Mix. loosening the soil and I purchased Scotts Turf Builder Lawn soil to mix with existing soil. I had placed some other brand seed in a few places the Scotts Tall Fescue Mix came in quicker and much greener in my opinion than the off brand I had left from last season. So far the young grass is doing well even in the up and down temperatures of early spring. Very good results so far.

Scott’s Turf Builder Grass Seed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my grass seed and couldn’t wait to use it. I spreaded it on my yard and the next day we went out of town for 6 days. When we returned I could not believe how much thicker and greener my grass was. My wife even commented what did you do to the yard. It looks gorgeous.

Grass that works in Southern CA

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Grass that works in Southern CA. Over seeded lawn in early April, after rains and the seed took very quickly to the prepared lawn that was thatched to loosen the soil. Came in very green and dense. Hoping will survive the heat.
