Quick Germination and Easy Spreading

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The grass seed spread easily in my handheld spreader, and it germinated within a week after putting it down in approximately 60-degree temperatures. It is currently spring, and I only gave it 4 stars since the large tree under which I put the grass seed has not yet regained all of its leaves.

The grass is greener on the other side of the fenc

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] have a corridor between a drainage ditch and fence that I could not get grass to grow - deer use this as the route between the woods and open fields - was not sure how this would grow in this area, but the grass germinated quickly and is thick and lush - very good product

This bag of seed was exactly what we needed to get those patches filled. It’s a rather large bag, but not large enough to do a big area. It’s better for spot application. Looks great so far!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotts grass seed tall fescue mix covers over 1400 square feet. The bag is 5.6 pounds. It’s a combination of seed and fertilizer. I like it because you are getting two items in one bag. Works great and stands up to harsh conditions.

Scott’s Tall Fescue is a well worth purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scott’s tall fescue is an excellent choice for seed. I put it down evenly and it looked great. It’s been down about 2 weeks and I’m starting to see a light green hue. The seed took amazingly quick. I recommend this seed very highly.

Perfect seed for where I want grass to grow!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have an area in our backyard that is really densely shaded and have had problems over the years at getting grass seed to grow. I prepped the ground by first mowing and then I raked to loosen the soil. I spread the grass seed with our spreader and followed up by lightly raking again. I put my sprinkler on in the morning for a few hours, then again in the evening. It has been 9 days and I am now seeing seedling sprouting up for the ground. I love that this dense shade mix grows with just about 3 hours of sunlight because this area where I put down seed doesn't get much more than that because of the trees. Looking forward to enjoying a beautiful yard this summer. I definitely recommend this product for everyone that has yards that stay mostly shaded.
