[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the grass has not had a lot of time to establish itself yet, but it did sprout and started to grow. the real proof of how good it is will be next summer after this winter and the following spring. used it on the north side of the house on a few sparse spots.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product received in October which is kinda late in MN season; however, prepared soil and laid generous amount of grass seed done. Need to wait for spring to arrive to see how well it took. Instructions on package easy to follow.

Didn’t work for me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Did a 100sq ft area in the fall, grass grew well at first but slowly thinned out and all but disappeared in about 12 weeks. Followed instructions, watered etc… not much grows in the shade I guess! I’ll give it another shot in the spring.

Jimmy, we appreciate your feedback on Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Dense Shade Mix. All lawn grasses require at least 3-4 hours of sunlight to survive. If the area does not get enough sun, you may consider planting a shade tolerant groundcover suitable for your area. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good product, put a good amount of effort into keeping the grass alive but my 2 dogs and a long drought made the grass go away after a few months, will update what the grass looks like when the winter months are over and it comes out of hibernation.
Trash... Did not germinate or grow at all. A complete waste of money.

Very low germination rate. Had plenty or rain and cooler temps but still minimal germination. Not what I expected from a Scott’s product.

I got the large yard bundle. And got seed that seeds up to 5,000 square feet and fertilizer that does up to 4,000 square feet. Everything else large tears covers about 10,000 square feet. Very misleading.
