[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never have to worried about this seed's germination. With a little Scotts seed fertilizer you will have a lush green lawn in no time. I would not use any other seed.

6 month ago I bought Scotts turf builder weed & feed, it killed the weed O K. - 5 weeks ago I Raked it out and seeded Scotts turf builder water smart plus tall fescue. Using Kelloggs topper lawn mulch on the ground and on top of the seeds, I am retired, so I was watering it 3-4 time a day to keep it moist. Now 5 weeks later, still no new grass ?? Is that blue coating keeping it from growing ?? Please respond, Thanks, Leif.
Cons: Didn't work as expected, not growing
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry the grass seed hasn't grown as expected. Two "enemies" of newly seeded lawns are herbicides and lawn diseases. While you have very little control over the outbreak of a lawn disease, do make sure that no weed control or weed prevention chemical has been used in the area, as those products will also prevent or inhibit germination. When used on newly germinated lawns, herbicides will kill off the new grass.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We loved the product, but what is hard is getting it started. We followed all directions on getting rid of weeds first, waiting then putting new soil/seed down. The seed didnt seem to take well...it got started but after about an inch (no mowing), it didnt thicken like we hoped. Also, not many home owners can water small areas each day for a couple weeks. if you can figure out how to make it easier that way ...you will win!
Pros: Easy to Use, Good Directions, Quality
Cons: Didn't work as expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This came up well, even though I didn't always remember to water daily. It was easy to use, too. I planted in the spring and the grass still looked good in the fall.
Pros: Easy to Use

Product is half coating - paying price for seed and getting 50% coating not a good value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the product thinking I was getting grass seed only to find out I got half a bag of seed and half a bag of coating. Very disappointed because it only covers half the area that I had planned on. Had to make another trip to the store wasting my time. When seed germinated it was thin and did not produce the lawn I had anticipated.
Pros: nice bag
Cons: Didn't work as expected

We're sorry that our Turf Builder Tall Fescue Seed Mix did not live up to your expectations. This seed does contain a WaterSmart Coating, a proprietary blend of ingredients that helps the seed store water. Regardless of this coating, you should still get the coverage listed on the bag. If you got less coverage than the bag listed, you may want to check the calibration of your spreader.
