Only requires proper care, so follow recommend instructions. I have never been disappointed with my results. Buy a brand that has proven results. That’s why I buy Scott’s.

We always buy Scotts shady mix

We bought it again this year. It grows great at first, but then we notice each year it starts to die out around this time. Is this grass short lived? Should we sew some more seeds? It comes back in the spring. Would like some tips, we are DIY people. We also fertilize and water our lawn.

Grass Turf Builder Grass Seed (Dense Shade Mix)

My problem area of not having grass to grow was under a large tree. In the summer months that area was always a dust bowl. So when Scotts sent me a bag of Turf Builder Grass seed(Dense Shade Mix) I was eager to give it a try. My first attempt did not go well. After planting the seeds the monsoons arrived and washed all the seeds away. My second attempt seems to going well, but the summer months will be the test. Time will tell.

Like the water saver plus grass seed as it was pre coated with starter fertilizer and worked well also blended in with existing lawn!

It also blended in with existing lawn, was easy to use and showed results soon which matched our existing lawn and what we were hoping for! We have found that Scotts is the best product to use!

It was easy to use and blended in with my existing lawn which is also Scotts seed. With the Scotts starter fertilizer and the Turf Builder Grass Seed my lawn came in thick and fast.

Tall Fescue Mix Seed Didn't Germinate

Wanted to overseed some spots in my front lawn this Fall. Dethatched spots, roughed up the soil with my rake, laid down Turfbuilder Lawn Soil, seeded with 1 1/3 3# bags of seed, raked in the seed and watered daily. Daily temperatures were fantastic and mostly sunny days. That was 4 or 5 weeks ago - NOTHING came up! To make it worse, after the first 10 days, I threw down the rest of the seed from the second bag to see if I could get some results and nothing came up from that one either. It seems to be a problem with the Tall Fescue Mix because I seeded some areas with just the Deep Shade Mix and it came up nice and thick.
I know it was foolish to double down and reseed the problem areas but I figured I didn't have anything to lose - I already had the second bag open. Now I have the cost of 2 bags of seed, about 4 or 5 bags of soil, water, and a lot of time lost on this project. This has totally derailed my lawn renovation project and delayed me at least a year.
Cons: Didn't work as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overseed lawn

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I applied thin lawyer of grass seed over my lawn in the fall and with very late colder weather this year in Vermont my lawn filled in and looked beautiful and lush before the first snowfall.
