90% crab grass.

I seeded on fresh topsoil first week of April in the North East. If it weren't for crab grass, I'd have no grass.

So disappointed

I bought 20lbs for a 1100 sq foot area. I used the Scott’s fertilizer for seeding. Watering twice a day. It’s been over three weeks . It looks like I used 3lbs of seed. Bummed out.

Lush Green Lawn

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We prepared the soil to make good soil and seed contact. Dumped the bag of seed in the Scotts Spreader, then spread the seed. For the next 2 weeks, we watered the seed daily until they begin to grow. We waited another 2 weeks to cut at 4 inches high. We now have a nice green lush lawn. We love our yard.

Southern Turf

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent seed for southern turf. Scott’s is all I trust and use it every fall and spring. The results are fast and easy to renovate new areas or overseed existing turf. I look forward to the good results from this spring seeding.

Quick germination and growth!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this to re-seed an area at the bottom of my deck steps. It germinated quickly and is growing is nicely. I've been pleased with it. I did add some soil amendment to the dirt, but that's simply due to the hard clay soil that I have. This grass is doing well and I'm interested to see how it fares through the hot summer here in the south.

Pretty good grass seed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I spread this in my lawn where we had two trees removed last year. We seeded in the fall but it was still patchy. It took about 12 days to see any growth, but it looks like it’s coming in nicely now. We’ve used the same seed in previous years so I’m sure it will look great in a few more weeks!

Decent grass seed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This grass seed is coated and appears to have some sort of fertilizer or clay/soil type stuff with it. It is easy to spread. I am not sure about germination rates as temperatures are just now at the right point for that stage to start.
While this is an easy to use grass seed, it does have some filler in the fertilizer meaning the weight of the package is not actually all grass seed. Just something to be aware of that you will not be getting a full bag of seed. I was not able to find on the packaging if it was some sort of fertilizer to help with germination.
Overall, easy to use, easy to find in the local big box stores, and will fill the need to patch up the yard in spring/fall.

Solid results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product to overseed my front lawn. I prepped my yard as directed. My spreader dispersed the seed mix with ease, providing an even spread. I watered as directed. The seed began to sprout at 11 days. The grass looks healthy and it should start filling in my lawn nicely.
