[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to use, simple instructions that are easy to follow. Prepare ground as per directions. Remember not to over seed. Once seed is planted do not forget to water but do not over water and don't cut too soon.
Pros: Good Directions, Easy to Use, Quality, Value, Effective

3 months ago I bought this Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Tall Fescue Mix from Lowes, spread it according to instructions, watered properly for 3 weeks. Nothing grew. I had soil tested ph was fine. Added Turf Builder 1.5 cu. ft. Lawn Soil when nothing germinated. That didn't help only added to my dislike of Scott products. Now I still have a bald spot on my lawn plus weeds I never had before.

Grows Fast!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a tough summer season I was left with some bare spots. I simply loosened the soil and put the Scotts’s seed. I started growing in less then 2 weeks. Now it’s tall enough to start cutting. I was very pleased that it grew so quickly.

Great Grass Seed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a very shady area along side my garage that never seemed to have any grass growing. I really wanted to try this product out to see if it would produce grass there. According to the directions it would grow best if I first put down Scott’s Turf Builder Lawn Soil which I did. Much to my delight after watering this every day and with intermittent rains, within two weeks I was getting grass. It filled in nicely and seems to be doing very well. I will be purchasing more of this for other areas as it didn’t cover a large enough area that I needed it in.

Great Product! Replaced Moss in Shaded Area!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worked fantastic! I have a large property, and have worked hard to grow a lush green lawn. One small area is very heavily shaded, and was overtaken by moss. I actually didn't mind the way the moss looked, except that it is very delicate, and frequently got torn up when the dogs ran through that area. So I used Scott's MossEX last spring to kill the moss in that area, then seeded with Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Dense Shade Mix in late summer. The grass came in thick and lush and green, and appears to be doing great despite getting almost no sun. We'll see how it fares in the heat of next summer. So far, however, I am very impressed with this product. I am located in Connecticut, Zone 6.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While it is barely Mid-November and my new Dense Shade Mix hasn’t endured an Ohio winter as yet, the seed have germinated and we have a lush covering of new grass beneath our 3 clusters of very large River Birch trees. We have high hopes for the Spring of 2022. So, our judgement at this point in time would be, “So far so good.”

Dense Shade Seeds Worked where others didn't

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent product. I had areas of shade that had issues growing seeds in the past, and these seeds where able to grow and mature in those same areas. I would recommend these seeds for anyone else that has densely shaded grassy areas

Improving the grass in shady areas.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I seeded around a large maple tree and will over seed in the spring. I got good germination and looking to thicken the grass some more in the spring. The tree does provide a lot of shade so hope to see nice results, especially around the edges of the tree.
