After using the Cuisinart-Toaster Oven during a stay at my granddaughter's home I saw how useful it was. Now that I have one I have enjoyed using it for toasting as well as baking items that fit the smaller oven. I enjoy being able to reheat some items in the Cuisinart rather than the microwave for a better taste. I was pleased to find that it did not put out a lot of heat while baking items for an extended time.

I bought this as a replacement. Usually Cuisinart products are highly rated. Not so with this one. I feel there is a lot of room for improvement. There should be 3 shelf positions as one is too high and the other too low for baking - food gets burned either on top or on bottom. There should a timer with an auto shut off. I do like that it is easier to clean but I definitely feel this needs a design revamp.

I don't like the fact that when I clean and wipe the dials with soap and water, the words disappear to tell me where to turn the dial for temperature and what I want to cook. I am returning for a replacement and see what happens with that.

Since neither my wall oven nor the oven in my range are working, this truly is my only oven! I don't do a lot of baking - it's a one-person household - but I do heat up frozen dinners and other frozen items, roast and broil meat, etc. I have found it to be everything I need or want in an oven. I would like even more direction on its use.
