[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This spreader makes it easy to place fertilizer in selective areas like grass near curbs, and flower bed borders. It helps to limit any concrete and stone staining from spreading products that contain iron.
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective, Value, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

It is very easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Scott spreaders for many years with excellent results satisfaction. I like my new spreader because it is light weight and rolls easily over the south Florida St. Augustine grass. But the best features are the components are rust proof and in this wet and salt air it bodes well for low maintanence and durability
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective, Good Directions, Value, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

Buy something else

Old spreader was Scotts. Only bought this for Edgeguard feature. Wish I never did. Plastic hollow wheels barely roll. Can only fill with 1/2 to 3/4 product or it won't move. Even then, seems like product doesn't want to go thru chute and distribute until much less in bin. Spring to close panel to stop distribution doesn't always close entirely. This is a cheaply made product that doesn't deliver. Disappointed in Scotts; not their typical/

I used for one season and the impeller broke off. Seems like there is a one inch gap between impeller and the spinner underneath. Now it's junk.

Used this spreader twice. On its second use the wheel kept falling off. After each row I did I would have to stop and reset the wheel. Terrible product.

Cheap Components

I’ve have had three of these. One I used 5-6 times, one I used one time, and one I used one time. All three had the same problem and that is the impeller quit spinning. Therefore, the spreader would not put out the fertilizer at an even rate. I had to continuously shake it some to keep the hopper door from clogging. Normally the impeller would do this. Not only did this waste a lot of time back and forth from the store, it wasted some expensive fertilizer, fungicide, and seed since it would not spread evenly.
