I have only purchased Scoot spreaders. They are a great value and make using Scotts products fool proof

Poor wheel design

It's fine for a small flat yard. Second time I used it the wheels fell off.

Bad design

Horrible design used once and the agitator and the spinner underneath stripped so bad they fell off

Big disappointment

The edge guard was the second Scotts spreader I have purchased. The edge guard feature never did work very well. I always had to reach down & manually move it in and out of position. after only two seasons of light use, the pinion gear melted the housing just like in my first spreader. Very poor design.
Pros: nice colors, padded handle
Cons: Didn't work as expected, cheaply made, over priced
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
