Still lots of weeds
on April 21, 2020

from Jarrettsville MD
I tried this product twice this year. I applied the second application after one month because I still had lots of weeds. After the second application I noticed some weeds dying off but still many more growing. Did not stop the crabgrass from coming up either. Very disappointed because this stuff was expensive.

We are troubled to hear of the issues you encountered while using Scotts Turf Builder Southern Triple Action. While there is a safety factor built into the product, damage can occur if the product is accidentally over-applied. The longer the product is on the lawn without water the more likely damage is to occur, particularly if temperatures are above 90 degrees. You can contact us if you would like to continue discussing this or if you want to know about our product guarantee. You can reach us here https://tinyurl.com/y8nvfsca.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product does exactly what it advertises. My yard is healthy and the grass is so soft and green. We don't have to worry about crabgrass and various other unwanted pesky weeds taking over the yard anymore!

Killed everything but my dollar weed
on February 16, 2021

My yard was a variation of grasses and weeds, a large part that was dollar weed, and is going to be replaced with St. Augustine sod. I apples this product to primarily help control the dollar weed that seemed to be creeping more and more into the yard. A month later, I’m now left with a healthy forest of dollar weed that has overtaken everything else that has died off. After doing research, many dollar weed products have had EPA regulations to limit their strength for the active ingredient used to kill dollar weed. My opinion, either use a product that kills all vegetation or good old hard work to manually till and remove the dollar weed roots.

We apologize for your dissatisfaction regarding your use of Scotts Turf Builder Triple Action. Temperatures must be consistently (several days in a row) between 60 and 90 degrees for target weeds to be actively growing. Dollarweed/Pennywort is difficult to control, particularly if the lawn is being watered too much. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. At your earliest convenience, please contact us and refer to your review to see what can be done. We can be reached at 877-220-3089.

KILLS CREEPING CHARLIE
on March 31, 2021

I have struggled to manage creeping Charlie in the shady side of my lawn. Adding triple action to my pre-emergent early spring application has been a game changer. Now I can focus on fertilizing my ryegrass to promote growth and density to keeping creeping charlie out! thanks Scott’s!!

Didn't work at all
on April 28, 2021

I applied Scots Turf Builder Southern Triple Action exactly as the directions stated. I used a Scotts brand rotary spreader on the 4.5 setting, applied it to a dry lawn after the 3rd mowing of the season, and watered it in afterwards. I had a huge clover and dandelion problem in my yard, and was hoping this would do the trick. Unfortunately, this didn't seem to kill any of the weeds, and if anything, the weeds are even worse now - it is almost as if there was seed for some of the weeds in this bag! I can't even begin to describe how disappointed I am with this product. The search for a good lawn product continues...

I used the triple action on my lawn and I don't have any dandelions or any weeds. My son's lawn was all weeds and I used the triple action on his and his lawn he had no dandelions but still some weeds. His grass is getting better looking.
