A Good Product

I like this product. It seems to keep most aggressive Spring weeds at bay, but I have yet to find a weed-and-feed product that kills dollar weed. At most, the dollar weed turns a bit yellow for a while, but it bounces right back and creates an intricately woven carpet base underneath the blades of grass.

I shopped online for a better product for bermuda grass and bought this by mistake for St Augustine. The bags look very much alike and were sitting side by side. So beware. I didn't take the time to read the whole bag because I had already read it online. I'm an amateur and I goofed I'm going back to using Bayer

I use Scott’s products regularly, Weed and Feed, and turf Builder. I mix ant killer with the product as well, so when I saw the triple action, I decided to use it. I applied to my lawn in early March. I have noticed that the weeds have been cut back some, but not as effective as the Weed and Feed. The product did not green the lawn as well as the Turf Builder either. Maybe the mix of the products is off in the triple action. I would recommend the two separate product to be more effective.

The most common reason for lawns that do not respond to fertilizer is soil pH, which must be between 5.5-7.5 for fertilizer to be absorbed by the grass. We purchased this product mainly to kill dollarweed which is taking over our lawn. We also were interested in the fire ant protection, however we followed directions exactly and while it did kill some weeds in the lawn, the dollar weed remained unaffected. I mean it did not even turn yellow, still green as can be and thriving. I feel like this was an expensive product to not even touch a weed that it is promoted to kill.

We apologize that Scotts Turf Builder Southern Triple Action did not control your dollarweed as expected. Temperatures must be consistently between 60 and 90 for the weeds to absorb the control. Weeds such as dollarweed are difficult to control, particularly difficult to control especially if the lawn is being watered too much. First time I used this I bought at home depot.it was grey with green specs in it.that stuff worked great.yard came in strong,dark green and weed free.the second time it was pink with some white specs.this time I killed all the weeds but almost killed my st Augustine yard as well.I spread on my broadcast spreader at 3.a Scotts mini spreader.if I could only get the grey stuff would be great.but the pink stuff i will never use again.only thing is the pink stuff did kill all the weeds.I had to wait 2 months then hit yard with Scotts southern lawn food.thank God it came back as that is my normal fertilizer.I don't think I'll take the chance with this triple action again.which is a shame as the grey formula yielded the best results I have seen on my yard.

Scott’s need to spend less money on advertising an more money in there product this stuff is over price for what it does Scott’s an roundup should not be allowed to be sold in big box stores
