Killed my yard

Worth Every Dollar

Since I live in southwest Florida, it was warm enough to apply this product after a couple of mowings in February. My yard had a lot of dollar weeds along with the usual south Florida weeds. The lawn was really struggling. I followed the directions and applied this product on February 27, 2024. I let the sprinklers water it in once a week and had several inches of rain on March 22nd. During this time I did not mow the yard, much to my wife’s chagrin. I finally mowed the lawn on March 26, and here is the result. The dollar weeds are history, my wife is thrilled and the lawn looks great.

Disappointed Results

Applied Scotts Turf Builder Southern Triple Action to my backyard on July 1. I watered immediately and walked the area to make sure that it was thoroughly saturated but this weed and feed still burned my lawn. My once beautiful St. Augustine lawn looks terrible. Three weeks after application and I am still seeing earwigs. The lawn is starting to look a little better but it may take a full growing season to fully recover. I am truly disappointed.

VERY POOR PERFORMANCE

WE PURCHASED THIS PRODUCT ON 2 SEPARATE OCCASIONS, THINKING IT DIDN'T WORK THE FIRST TIME BECAUSE WE HAVE SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL AFTER THE FIRST APPLICATION. WE HAVE 4 TIMES MORE WEEDS THAN EVER BEFORE ,IF NOT MORE. OUR GRASS LOOKS FANTASTIC, BUT THE WEEDS ARE FLOURISHING. WE HAVE SEVERAL SPECIMENS OF WEEDS AND THEY ARE ALL GROWING LIKE CRAZY. I DOUBT WE WILL USE THIS PRDUCT AGAIN. WE LOVE YOUR POTTING SOILS AND OTHER PRODUCTS BUT THIS ONE HAS FAILED US MISERABLY. THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME.

I followed the directions on the bag, it got rid of the clover but didn't touch the dollar weed. A bit disappointed for how expensive this was. I did two applications following the directions on the bag

Product is great if you want beautiful weeds

I applied this to my yard 3 weeks ago and it did not kill any weeds. In fact the dollar grass in my yard is spreading like crazy. No way does this expensive product kill weeds listed. Very disappointed.

Terrible product

Bought and applied this product about 3 weeks ago and weeds and ants are worst than they have been all year. It seems to have introduced new weeds that I have never seen in my yard before. Won’t be using this again

We are sorry that you did not get the results you expected from Scotts Turf Builder Southern Triple Action. This product works best when temperatures are between 60-90 degrees, as weeds will go dormant when temperatures rise above or go below that. Therefore they can not absorb the product. If it is fire ants that you are trying to control, we recommend a mound treatment specifically designed for them. We would be interested in hearing more about the issue so that we can take the appropriate steps to prevent this in the future. Terrible product!

I applied the Scotts Turf Builder Southern Triple Action product to my St. Augustine Grass lawn following the spreader instructions and then watering in the product and it killed or caused brown spots in my yard in many places. I use the Southern Bonus S each spring with great results, but this is the second time I have used the Triple Action and had these results. After the first time a few years ago, I thought maybe it was a bad batch and tried again just last week. Same terrible results. The grass it did not kill does not look any healthier like it does with Bonus S. The only thing left in much of the yard are the weeds!
I will not recommend this product to anyone who has St. Augustine grass.
