Works great here in Texas

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is some really great fertilizers and ant killer. Since starting to use this I no longer have to buy a separate bag of ant killer for the yard. I use the Scott's broadcast spreader to apply per instructions and have really great results & feeding the lawn as well as preventing the fire ants from building mounds.

This product will kill actively growing broadleaf weeds and prevent grassy weeds that are listed on the label. It will not prevent broadleaf weeds (before or after the application) and it will not kill existing crabgrass or other grassy type weeds. For broadleaf weed control temperatures must be consistently (several days in a row) between 60 and 80 degrees F. For listed grassy weeds to be prevented this has to be applied before the target grassy weeds germinate. Weeds will die within 2 to 4 week period, depending on temperature conditions.

Not Happy At All

I purchased this to head off some crabgrass and dandelions. I followed the directions on the bag and used my Scott spreader on the advised settings. Within the next few days my yard exploded with weeds. I dont have a small front or back yard. I am very upset with the results. I have more weeds than what I started with.

Great for my lawn

made the biggest difference in my lawn

I signed up for the Scotts lawn program and they recommended 4 applications of Turf Builder southern lawn food. I wrote back and said the lawn in my recently purchased home was a weed farm with many bare spots, and while I wanted a thicker greener lawn I did not want thicker greener weeds and they stood by their recommendation. I continued to spot treat weeds with a spray and pulling by hand and watched a lot of lawn care videos. I saw the one called, "from this to this in one application" featuring triple action. I purchased a bag locally and within a week I was seeing results. I still spot treat with sprays but I feel I'm winning the battle. I'm about to do a second application.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you so very much for sending me this product. I am a biologist so I have been conducting a comparison study. I applied both this and the product that I normally use (Scotts Turf Builder WinterGuard, Fall Weed & Feed) onto different sections of my lawn and I have been watching and testing my lawn almost everyday since I received the product. Southern Triple Action has resulted in an even greener, thicker, healthier and more weed-free lawn than the previous product that I used. And I was quite happy with the performance of the WinterGuard, Fall Weed & Feed that I have used for a number of years. Soil testing has confirmed my initial thought that the fertilizer actually remains in the upper layer of the soil for longer than previous product. Soil cores also demonstrate that the root system is stronger and healthier than previously used product. I give Southern Triple Action an Outstanding recommendation!
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective, Good Directions, Quality, root system is strong and healthy, fertilizer remains in the soil for a long time
I would recommend this to a friend!
