My up and coming Scotts lawn is now burned in many spots because of this product. I followed all directions. When 50% of reviews are bad you need to go back to the drawing board Scotts. I trusted you. I'll continue with my other Scotts products but never again with Southern Triple. I appreciate your guarantee but it doesn't help my now horrible lawn. Haven't seen one dead weed either.

Damage can occur if products are accidentally over applied or applied to drought and heat stressed turf. Be careful where you use this!

Many negative reviews here complaining of it killing their grass. After using this I understand why. My St. Augustine lawn had some weeds, more in some areas than others, and many different types. If weeds are minimal then this is good. But some weeds blend in so well to St. Augustine (look a lot like it) that you may not know there are a lot of weeds there. When they are killed by this weed killer you will get a lot of brown dead weeds mixed in with the remaining healthy St Augustine like I did, and probably most of the others who complain about this killing their lawn. In a part of the yard with quite a few weeds that this does not kill, the fertilizer made them grow quite well. Specs say that this will kill Oxalis but it did not kill it in my yard. I will use other Scotts products but probably won't use this again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first, I was just happy that it killed the ants. We had a lot of fire ants and this really eliminated them. Then, I noticed it killed the weeds too. How great is that! It kills ant and weeds and feeds my lawn. No more having to pull out/cut all the weeds and no more ant bites. Very easy to use and effective!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live in San Antonio where fire ants are everywhere. Maintaining a nice lawn is so challenging with the heat and the weeds. This was easy to apply. I noticed that the insecticide worked rapidly but it took a little to notice the weeds disappearing. After a couple of weeks the weeds were noticeably less and my grass looks great. Would totally recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect for patches of grass that just won't grow! Spreads nicely with a seed spreader and does not clump or produce brown spots. Requires minimal attention and will restore your lawn to being back to green and lush grass

Dollar weed failure

I bought 4 bags of the Scotts Turf Builder Southern Triple Action. Spread according to directions. A month later I not only have dollar weed still mixed in with my regular St. Augustine and Floratam but it has spread. The grass is green and healthy no problems there. Controlling the dollar weed failed miserably. I am a yearly Scotts user and consider the product excellent. I have used the Scotts weed and feed many times in the past. Although it never completely eradicated my dollar weed it worked very well on eliminating most and controlling spread. I cannot say the same about the Triple Action. Thank you

We're sorry to hear Scotts Turf Builder Southern Triple Action didn't control the dollarweed as expected. Dollarweed can be very difficult to completely eradicate, and it thrives in moist conditions.
