[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tools the instructions say are required - rubber mallet, cordless drill, drill bit and a Phillips head screw driver. They go together super fast and easily but to make sure they are secure you’ll need to add four screws hence the tools above. We didn’t actually need the rubber mallet as my husband just smacked them together. Once assembled they are super sturdy. I love that they are made from the plastic material because we can leave them outside and they’ll be fine in any weather. Perfect height for our spa and we can move them to the pool in the summer too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Leisure Accents deluxe spa step 36" from Confer plastics are really nice. They are made of heavy duty plastic, which will hold up to 300 lbs . They are durable and should last a long time. The treads on the steps are nice to have, so no one slips. This set of spa steps is very nice looking and looks so good against the hot tub!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Confer Leisure Accents 36" Deluxe 2 Stair comes unassembled but all the hardware needed is 4 screws. There are tabs molded into the stair tops which can easily be snapped in place with a rubber mallet which made it quick and easy for me. These are made of durable plastic which means very low maintenance and long lasting compared to the wooden ones we are replacing. The black and redwood colors blend in perfectly for a natural look. I think this set would also be a nice addition to any deck to hold flower pots and outdoor deco!

Mixed Feelings!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So the stairs look custom and add a really nice touch to our spa. We love the longer width, although we do just wish they were a few inches taller like the stairs we previously owned. The light grey will be nice over time for hiding wear and water stains. That being said, the assembly process was horrendous. The manufacturing overall just seems very low budget and not well though out. The directions are really not great and you absolutely need 2 people for the job. Things didn't fit as they could have and corners were cut with manufacturing to reduce the number of different molds. It seems as though they could simplify and really just ship these preassembled. If not, better directions and a better fit would be preferred. We would also prefer that power tools not be required for such a simple piece. Assembly made for a crabby husband, which makes for a crabby wife. Worth improve to improve this product overall.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a plus sized woman. So when it comes to things where something needs to hold my weight, I pay extra attention. Even though these are made with sturdy plastic, they preform excellently. I don’t slip and I don’t shake when I’m on them. Assembly was simple enough but with this thick sturdy plastic, a little difficult. I’m still happy with this purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The directions are easy enough to understand, but the interlocking pieces do not lock as they should. Just when I use the mallet and lock them in, I try to put the backboards on and then they pop off. It’s very frustrating as they look really nice and if all of the pieces would go together as they should, it would be strong and last for years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Confer Leisure Accents 36 inch Deluxe Steps

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received Confer Plastics - Confer Leisure Accents 36 Inch Deluxe Patio Long Hot Tub Spa Steps in Gray/Black. My experience putting this step together was that the video instructions made more sense to me than the included paper instructions. The instructions are slightly different. Please note that with this product you will need tools that are not included (rubber mallet, cordless electric drill, Phillips head screw driver, and drill bit). The instructions indicate to use a 1/8 drill bit to pre-drill pilot holes however, I found that this size was not big enough in diameter for the included screws as the screw head became stripped. When I switched to 9/64 drill bit, the screws went it much easier and cleaner. The screws also went in easily when I went in the order of hammering the support on first then putting the pre-drill pilot holes in through both supports and locking tabs of the sidewalls as shown in the video. The paper instructions show putting pre-drill pilot holes only through the supports. Preferably, it would have been better and easier if the supports and the side walls came with already pre-drilled pilot holes. Tapping the threads (stepping area) took more effort than I would have preferred. I tapped on one side and the other side would lift/loosen. I would have preferred a different locking mechanism to get the threads to attach to the side walls than just tapping it into place. On the bottom of the side walls are self adhesive foam pads (2 each side). I would have preferred if the bottom of the side walls were lined with silicone to be slip resistant. I also would have preferred if silicone lines were on the threads (stepping area) for added slip resistant safety. To me, it feels somewhat slippery. I like that the steps are easy to lift to move location. I also like that the steps can hold up to 300 lbs.
