Easy and Fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best investment ever! We are all having so much fun this Summer. The pool is very easy to assemble. Instructions are very clear. The pool is very sturdy. The size is perfect as well. We can be having fun all at the same time.

Great pool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 9x17x48 bestway pool was easy to install. We had 2 people and took us about 40 minutes. Only took 5 hours to fill. Grand daughters came over to play in it. Nice size for a small family. Came with ladder, sand pump, cover. Also has a few patches if it should ever need. Needs a level ground . We used sand and a tarp under pool. Then placed pavers in ground for legs to stand on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good pool. Love the size. We leveled a sand pad and then used a plate compactor to compact the sand ensuring the pad was perfectly level. The liner is nice and heavy duty, the frame is easy to assemble and quite sturdy. So far the pool is holding up very well. Everything is working as expected. It has exceeded my expectations in every way.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this pool about a week ago. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to put together. It is a very nice sturdy pool and everything is working as it should. The packaging was a bit misleading as it says 30 minute set up time, when in fact you definitely need a minimum of 2 hours to set it up. The instruction booklets are a bit hard to decipher since there are 3 different booklets for each item (I.e. pool, ladder, and then filter.) each book has multiple languages and can be tricky to figure out. Overall the product is amazing and will get a lot of use over the summer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned a couple of pools over the years, and they were mostly a terror to put up and maintain. I had my doubts that this Bestway Power Steel pool would be any different, but immediately upon opening the box and starting to put the pool together I realized that they had put a lot of thought into making sure it was an easy assembly experience, and just how high quality of a pool this was! There is a DVD that comes with it that shows you exactly what you need to do, so no prior experience is really necessary. It wasn't quite together in 30 minutes like the box claimed, but it didn't take too much longer. It also does a great job of explaining the maintenance. As any prior pool owner can attest, having a good filter is a must. I can report that the sand filter that comes with this set is as better than any of the previous filters I have used. I really like that the filter comes with a 1 year warranty as well.
The pool liner is absolutely beautiful, and feels very well made. I don't think it will be easily ripped or snagged. I was thoroughly impressed with the strength of the steel frame, and how easily everything fit together. I totally prefer the rectangle shape over the round pools I have had in the past. The depth is perfect for swimming and floating. It looks so so nice in our little backyard oasis. The addition of a ladder and pool cover was nice too... they really made sure that you would have everything you needed right off the bat to get your pool up and ready for hours of summer fun! I see this well built pool being a feature in our yard for many years to come!

I love that it has a sand filter. It’s been super easy to up keep and maintain. It was also very easy to put up. Especially compared to other pools. It went up in less then an hour. I highly recommend this to anyone.

A treat for the hot summer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For me, having an in-ground pool is not an option - my house is surrounded by wetlands that are too close to dig. I pretty much gave up on my dream of having a pool in my backyard until I saw the Bestway Power Steel above ground pool. I liked the 18 feet by 9 feet by 48 inch option – it is pretty large, but not overwhelming to maintain and fill with water. After doing a research and watching several YouTube videos on set-up (and there are many available), I was glad that I was well prepared. Even before the pool arrives, you need to do a good amount of preparation. One important thing is to make sure that your ground is fully leveled and does not have any sharp object (e.g. branches) under the pool as you run a risk of damaging the lining. I also highly recommend wooden planks for the legs so they are anchored in a nice sturdy way. It is definitely at least a two-people job. However, the assembly went smoothly, everything connected the way it should, and I was glad that additional components, like a ladder and a cover were included. I really like the color of the liner – it is truly adding to the experience. My dream is to have this finished and build a deck around it so it looks less temporary and more permanent. However, I can’t decide if the temporary is a great option, too – in a climate with 4 seasons, the option to take it apart and store it inside a shed for colder seasons is not at all a bad option. One other suggestion – check with your local town board if you need a permit even for an above ground pool. I did in my town, and glad that I got it all done before the pool arrived, as it might delay things as well.
So overall – if you are prepared and have clear expectations that you are not buying a small kiddie pool that takes a bucket of water to fill, this pool is a phenomenal, cost-effective way to have a bunch of fun in the summer with the kids. Nice and big, sturdy, and well designed – perfection!
