Wonderful! It can do so much!

I bought this to replace my toaster oven and over-the-hood microwave, and to give me a second convection oven. It is wonderful! In the oven mode it heats up very quickly, and it can accommodate even a large chicken. I was particularly pleased to see the quality of the toast it produces with its halogen light technology—I gained a foot and a half of counterspace by getting rid of my toaster oven. It does everything I wanted. Yay!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy dialing, clear numbers, easy to get working. Reminds you if you left something inside without opening the door. Easy timer, convection oven and microwave.

Love the laminated quick reference guide

I am a little overwhelmed by this product and all the features it offers. I am used to just a microwave This appliance was part of an appliance package purchased for our new home. We have had it for three months and we are trying to experiment with the various cooking options (broil, convection, etc). Cleaning the inside is easy, cleaning the outside is required a little more frequent at it sits above the stove (so if we cook anything that has oil, I tend to find marks along the bottom of the unit.

Advantium is a great high end microwave that has features and benefits that are GREAT. When it works it is great! I would recommend purchasing an extended warranty!!!

Simply amazing

We moved and had to get a new Advantium microwave because we missed the Speed settings so much. We had the first unit for 7 years before moving. The refurbished second generation oven we had for only 4 years before the turntable stopped turning and it also stopped heating, Unfortunately, it was long past Mfg's warranty and we had not purchased an extended warranty. With this third gen. unit, we bought the 5 year extended warranty, although we fully expect at least 10 years use out of this Advantium (my friend has had his for 13 years).
We love the Advantium for cooking pizza, cookies, chicken wings and anything else that should have a nice crispy exterior and a moist interior - all at a fraction of the time in a regular oven (conventional or convection). Brown and serve rolls come out better than anyone can believe. Our guests are amazed at the superior cooking performance - everybody wants one.

Poor Design/Quality of Handle

We installed this appliance less than 2 months ago...the handle has already broken. We are a family of 2 adults, do not use the microwave daily and certainly are careful with opening the door. I was surprised to learn it is plastic! And the part is backordered for the next 6 weeks.
I do like the appearance of the appliance and the functioning of it but I am concerned about the 1 year warranty--given the handle broke so quickly. I am very interested in hearing from GE about plans to stand behind their quality after the warranty is over.
