Hamilton Beach Power Max lives up to its name!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great blender! The glass pitcher is heavy and will not crack like plastic does. I like the light on the power button so you can see when it's on. I like the large buttons so there's no problem seeing which one to use. There are 3 speeds and pulse and they are not loud as previous blenders I have had. It is very strong and powerful and can take on any job. The only problem I had was getting the base off the pitcher when I went to wash it the first time before using. I am not strong and had to have help unscrewing it. After I used it for the first time I still couldn't get the blades off the pitcher. But I found if I emptied the pitcher and then put it back in (with it unplugged) and turned it slightly, I was able to get it off with no trouble at all. I'm sure a person with normal strength would have no problem. The BEST part was the top cap, I LOVE the flap over the spout, it pours out so nicely, what a great feature! I also like it's not all black, it's silver. All in all, it's a great blender and I can highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the glass pitcher, looks stable, and easy to use and easy to clean! I used this blender to grind up the fruits and yogurt together, it worked really well! Not too noisy to use. But it seems there’s a fissure near the bottom of the pitcher after the first time used. The fissure is at the second layer of the glass.

Wonderful blender

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wanting a new blender for a long time. The one I have just doesn't work anymore and the blades don't even spin. I especially needed one because we love smoothies in my home. In comes this awesome beast from Hamilton Beach. This blender is amazing! It has nice weight to it and definitely feels durable. It's very easy to clean and to use. The cup part of it is made of thick glass and the blades are nice and sharp. I love that the lid has an open and close spout. My old blender didn't have this and I'd end up with a mess after trying to put our smoothies in a cup. The top also twists open so you can add more ingredients if you need to. There are 4 settings to choose from. Pulse, mix, puree, and liquefy. I obviously use liquefy for our smoothies and we are always met with a creamy, smooth, and delicious drink. This blender cuts and blends so well and really fast too! With my old blender, the base would always get off track and I'd have to keep turning it to make it fit. With this blender, I place it on the base, turn it on, and let it do it's thing. It's the easiest and most convenient blender I've ever owned. And it actually works really well for my needs! I am beyond thrilled with this and I highly recommend!

Great Blender!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a Hamilton Beach PowerMax™ Professional-Performance Blender and it is fantastic ! I use it at least once a day to make protein shakes. It is easy to use, easy to clean and blends food and liquids really well. It has four settings which makes it great to use for drinks to making cookies.The settings are pulse, mix, puree and liquify. The jar and lid are also dishwashersafe. The blades can be twisted off bottom of the jar for easy cleaning. I have it placed on my kitchen counter. It is black with accents of silver which fits in with any decor. It has a strong but light base and the jar is thick and strong, but easy to lift. The blender also comes with a lid that makes it easy to pour liquids and also has acicular nob you can unlock to add more ingredients. I highly recomend this product. It works great!

The best Blender I've ever used.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This PowerMax blender arrived well packaged and in perfect shape. My first impressions were that this was the largest blender I'd ever used. The glass jar holds 48 oz of fluid and the lid fits tightly. Out of curiosity I filled the jar with water, set the lid and tipped the jar upside down. The seal held without issue.
As is my habit with new kitchen appliances, I disassemble the jar and ran the entire assembly through the dishwasher to make sure that it was clean for use. Both disassembly and reassembly of the jar was easy. Then it was time to try it out.
One of the first things I noticed was the massive drive system for the blender blades. I cannot imagine this beast of a machine to ever lock up for any of the things I use a blender for, but if it does, attached to the power cord are instructions for resetting the blender if the motor should lock.
The controls consist of five buttons. Power, low speed, medium speed, high speed and the Pulse button which also serves as a stop button. The Jar locks into the drive mechanism firmly, allowing you to start. My first 'blend' was a tray of ice cubes. a few presses of the Pulse button and I had a jar of shaved ice, a quick rinse of the jar later, I made a jar of smoothies from fresh fruit and yogurt. That turned out perfect.
For a third test I made pancakes. I've always used my blenders to mix my pancake batter, and it's a test of the machine to deal with thicker fluids. I had no problem at all mixing my batter in the blender.
Clean up was simple, the jar disassembles easily and goes together again just as easily.
I highly recommend this appliance. The simple controls and large size make using the blender simple and enjoyable.

A truly high 'tech' blender, that does it all

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blender is much more than your standard blender. Crushes ice quickly for frosty drinks, purees perfectly. It has all the 'tech' you wouldn't expect in a blender. Touch-pad convenience which also keeps the face clean. Glass pitcher and stainless blades make this outstanding. Used it for a birthday party and many attendees asked questions about it. Looks great.

Strength and Power with Affordability

In just a couple brief seconds, we had a pitcher full of smooth frozen watermelon drinks. The speed and strength of a professional bar blender without the hassle and pricey wallet busting. Multi use appliance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blender makes great smoothies and shakes, as you would expect, but you are certainly not limited to drinks. At the holiday season, I make a cream cheese/ chicken liver spread and I want it smooth. This blender made the job easy and the spread very smooth.
The top of the blender container is wide enough to accommodate adding extra ingredients and the sealed controls make cleaning this unit easier. No more worry about smooth sauces and gravy with this blender.
