Amazing blender.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the blender mostly to make smoothies. I have purchased several other brands over the years, some of them very expensive and claiming to be "quiet". (They weren't) As a result we were not expecting any relief from the ear piercing screech blenders make. This one surprised us. It is still noisy, except while it is napping between shifts, but the noise is much reduced, muffled and bearable. We anticipate its having a long life, largely because it came without the frilly options we never used anyway. Don't change a thing Proctor-Silex: you got this one right. And I love the color, I love the quality. It's just a good peice of equipment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a basic blender that gets the job done. It has 4 controls for lo, high, pulse to chop and pulse to grind. I make a lot of smoothies and it blended the ingredients with ease. The motor was significantly quieter than other blenders that I have used. The glass jar is a nice thick glass with a leak proof lid. It has a filler cap that you can use to add in ingredients while you are blending and it can be used with cold or hot ingredients. The power chord is stored in the base of the blender however you have to manually push the chord back in for storage,

Powerful blender

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really impressed with this blender. When you take it out of the packaging, all you have to do is sit it on the base and you’re good to go. There’s four different functions you can set it to, milkshake, puree, chop and grind. The first thing I made with it was a baby friendly strawberry milkshake. I added the ingredients and the blade puréed it with ease. I was impressed that there weren’t chunks of ice left over like other brands I’ve used before. The blender works perfectly and takes up minimal counter space. It’s a win win for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Proctor Silex Blender is easy to use. There are not a lot of fancy features on it which is a nice change. The cord pulls out to the length you need and then is supposed to retract for storage. I could not get the cord back in. I made milk shakes using the milkshake button and they were ok. I made smoothies using the smoothie button and it did not blend it well. I still had large chunks of fruit in it after a couple of tries. I also tried to crush ice. Again, some of it was left I crushed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Makes great smoothies

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this blender to make my morning smoothies and it does a great job. With my previous blender I would have to let the frozen ingredients thaw for about 1 hour but with this blender it only requires me to thaw them for about 20 minutes. It makes a very smooth drink. The blades are larger than my previous blender and is much quieter as well. It is easy to clean and works great. It has features for milkshakes, purée/smoothie, chop/salsa, and grind/crush ice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blender is NICE!! It’s larger than my old one. I love that it’s thick glass and very sturdy. It disassembles so it’s very easy to clean. The top seals very tight. It’s quiet and it looks very sleek. I would absolutely recommend.
