The turner is fine but the tongs don’t grip the chicken legs or thighs very well. The tongs use a locking mechanism that rocks back and forth instead of the traditional ones that lock when pulled out and open pushed in.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Well made, and I like that the spatula is one piece rather than a head & handle. The tongs seem to work well and are easy enough to lock and unlock with one hand. Clearly that's a plus IMO.

Over the years I have purchased and have been given several cooking tools for my grille. They all had one thing in common, poor quality. Knowing the name Weber, I began looking on my Weber app and picked out a new set. I was not disappointed.

Closure lock mechanism is just not workable on this model. I had high hopes for these as I loved my original Weber tongs but the lock works in only one direction which causes you to fumble around while trying to open the tongs by hitting them against your leg or whatever to open them. I’ve wrestled with these for 10 or 15 cooks now and it’s just not workable. Bad design in my book! I love Weber products but this one is not usable.
