I purchased the iGrill 3 to go with my new Genesis II grill. As with other reviewers, I was a bit skeptical, thought it might be gimmicky, but worth a try. After a month of use, I now view it as an essential part of grilling. Everything I've grilled using the iGrill 3 has come out perfectly: Steaks, pork chops, salmon, chicken, vegetables. It takes the guess work out of grilling. Earlier this week I grilled one of the best pork chops I've ever had: Perfectly seared on the outside and tender on the inside. When following grilling recipes, I'm starting to defer to the readings on the iGrill over the temperature guides in the recipes; there's sometimes a difference of 10 degrees. The iGrill 3 app has a timer feature; it's easy to set the timers and switch between that and the temperature readings; this also makes it easy to track different things put on the grill at different times. The monitoring of the level in the propane tank is a nice feature. The grill comes with an analog gas meter (based on the weight of the tank) but the reading on the iGrill app is easier to read. I've been grilling for 20+ years, at least 3 times a week from May through October. I've had pretty good success, but the iGrill 3 takes grilling to another level. I've had no problems with connectivity; I have a shelf near the grill where I park my cell phone.
Never registers the correct temp. Reaches the set temp much too rapidly and you wind up with raw meat.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us, although we apologize that you are experiencing inaccurate temperatures. It sounds like your probes may be affected, however our team will be more than happy to assist you with your warranty. Please be on the lookout from an email regarding this.
A good thermometer that fits great on the Genesis II. It works well with my iOS app and allowed me grill the perfect ribeye steaks.
One thing that could have been better understood is the sensitivity of the probes, which appear to be more fragile that I anticipated. On my first grill with this product, one of the probes was under direct exposure to flame for a minute which not only caused the colored band to completely melt away but also permanently damaged the probe’s sensing capabilities and rendered it useless.
So especially when using on a gas grill make sure that exposure to flame is minimized for the probes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thank you for your review! Our probes are covered under a 2-year warranty, so if you are experiencing any issues, please feel free to reach out to us at support@weberstephen.com for assistance.
Accurate. Excellent addition to the grill. Nice tie in to phone app. A little difficult keeping wires fed through side of grill. Ambient probe does not go above certain temperature so will blank out when you have a super hot grill.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This has completely transformed my grilling results. I use a small instant thermometer for steaks and small food, but when I cook prime rib and large Thanks giving turkeys on the grill the enables me to ensure absolute perfection. I've had this for the past 2-years and and cooking Turkey, Prime Rib and others by temperature turned out to be the fix. I really like that the app tracks and charts (especially love this feature) the temperature so that you can actually see when the temperature stalls. So now instead of running out to the grill and opening it up and disrupting the temperature I can continue prepping other food (having drinks) and simply monitor the temperature from the kitchen.
