Firsts off I am a huge fan of Weber products, now for the bad.
I bought this at the end of the grilling season last fall. The first time I tried to use it, I installed all the components and batteries, and it would not turn on. Had to cook without it. waited 4 days for a response from customer service before exchanging for another unit (exchanged before I was contacted).
Second time it worked perfect, was very happy with the results.
3rd time trying to use was early spring, turned it on, connected to my phone and all is good. I hooked up a temperature and it was reading 244 degrees before the grill was lit. Hooked in a different probe, and it worked fine. This could be an even more expensive device if you have to buy a new probe every time you want to use it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought the product 3 weeks ago and it does more than I expected. Easy to fit. Simple to use. Perfect results every time. Saves going in and out. Pungent food smells outside not inside. I love it.

Weak Bluetooth

You can’t get more than 10’ from your girl or you have reconnect the Bluetooth. I don’t bother with it anymore. When will you come out with one that fits on the grill like this one and is WiFi?

Take the guessing out of cooking

Takes the guessing out of when the meat is ready. Sometimes what you're cooking may look ready but you find out after everything is turned off that you need to add more time; this option eliminates this problem.

Received with grill. Will not connect to any near by devices after maybe 2 months. Cool concept but lacking tech.

Could be cool - but ZERO support!

I tried to like it.
Nice design, Bluetooth worked, and I was grilling!
Then, temps varied. Finally the started on the 200s+ and wouldn’t go down. I swapped probes, replaced the battery - no joy.
Support is a joke. Tickets are NEVER answered. I don’t know why tfe bother to accept requests, since nobody answers them.
Pretty paperweight is what I have now…

When using the iGrill Probes and for best results, please keep these safe usage guidelines in mind:

• Do not allow the wiring of the probes to be exposed to open flame or direct heat for extended periods of time. Doing so may damage the probes resulting in inaccurate readings. We recommend suspending the wiring through an opening in your smoker or grill, such as the rotisserie slot.

• To clean the iGrill Pro Meat Probes, wipe them down with either a damp towel or a sanitary wipe. Do not submerge the probes in water or liquid of any kind. This may result in moisture entering the crimp and wiring of the probe which will cause damage and inaccurate readings to occur. Refer to the attached PDF for a visual guide.
