Range is limited on the Bluetooth. I need to be within about 20 feet of the BBQ in order for my phone to read the temps. The pork tenderloin turned out perfect. The ambient temperature gauge is worthless. It’s way off and reads way too hot. The lid thermometer does a much better job. Ordered the rotisserie also and that works great however the metal rod/skewer is bent a little after one use with a 6 lb chicken.

Thank you for your review! Bluetooth range is dependent on your cooking environment but a reset can help. To reset your iGrill 3, hold the power button down for 15 seconds, then unpair or forget this device from your phone's settings. The ambient probe temperature will be different than your grill's lid thermometer. One is not more accurate than the other, they are just beneficial for different scenarios.
The lid thermometer measures the air temperature of the grill, closer to the hood. This temperature is great for use with items being cooked higher on the grill, such as a rotisserie chicken. When using a rotisserie, the main concern is maintaining a satisfactory temperature towards the top of the inside of the grill.
The iGrill Pro Ambient Probe is meant to be clipped between two grill grates, and thus is much closer to your heat source resulting in a higher temperature than the lid thermometer. This placement is very useful when you want to know the temperature of your grates, which sit right above the flame of your grill, and can be used when searing steaks, for example.
Bluetooth distance was a bit of a bummer. WiFi would be a LOT better. One nice surprise is that the app showed up on my Apple watch and so I could just look at my watch to monitor all temp probes. That was slick

Thanks for your feedback! To help extend Bluetooth range, we recommend periodically resetting your iGrill 3 either before or after a cook. To reset your iGrill 3, hold down the power button until you hear a heap, then head to your phone and unpair the iGrill 3 from your settings. Thanks again!
I think this may be the first time I’ve written an on line review but this device deserves a mention. I used this thing for the first time tonight. Used it to cook 4 enormous pork chops and they were without a doubt the best I’ve ever cooked. This thing is awesome. Highly recommend it.

Connectivity Issues

Terrible connectivity. Looks nice when attached to new Genesis and that's where the positive review ends. Constant lost connection, both iOS and Android OS. At one point I placed the iPad on the grill side table, right above the igrill 3 device and it still couldn't "find" the connection.

Bought my igrill 3 around six months ago. To this day it’s working like a charm. I’m a huge stake eater and always had a problem cooking 2 inch thick steaks. Not anymore! I like everything in a perfect medium and that’s all I’m eating these days. I highly recommend this product.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear about this and will be in contact with you to assist.
I bought this unit for cooking our Christmas prime rib and fortunately I had kept my old remote temp unit. Used the #1 port and the unit flat lined at 70 degrees for the first 1 1/2 hrs. Put probe in the #2 port and temp went up to 105. Put the probe for my old unit in the meat and it showed 120. The Weber temp finally got to 110, old unit 125, pulled the meat and it was perfect 125 med-rare. If I had used the iGill 3 until it got to 125 the meat would have been well done!! Will use it again to see how it does but I will definitely have a back up!!!
