I think this may be the first time I’ve written an on line review but this device deserves a mention.
I used this thing for the first time tonight. Used it to cook 4 enormous pork chops and they were without a doubt the best I’ve ever cooked.
This thing is awesome. Highly recommend it.

Connectivity Issues

Terrible connectivity. Looks nice when attached to new Genesis and that's where the positive review ends. Constant lost connection, both iOS and Android OS. At one point I placed the iPad on the grill side table, right above the igrill 3 device and it still couldn't "find" the connection.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love my igrill

Bought my igrill 3 around six months ago. To this day it’s working like a charm. I’m a huge stake eater and always had a problem cooking 2 inch thick steaks. Not anymore! I like everything in a perfect medium and that’s all I’m eating these days. I highly recommend this product.

rubber melted on first use

with the probe inserted into a nice piece of salmon on a ceder plank, the rubber coloured rubber on the probe melted off....hopefully into the bbq and not into the salmon as I didnt notice till we had eaten it.

These are cheap accessories to an expensive grill. Also the measurement on the propane tank are too broad.

I bought this unit for cooking our Christmas prime rib and fortunately I had kept my old remote temp unit. Used the #1 port and the unit flat lined at 70 degrees for the first 1 1/2 hrs. Put probe in the #2 port and temp went up to 105. Put the probe for my old unit in the meat and it showed 120. The Weber temp finally got to 110, old unit 125, pulled the meat and it was perfect 125 med-rare. If I had used the iGill 3 until it got to 125 the meat would have been well done!! Will use it again to see how it does but I will definitely have a back up!!!

Great idea, lousy performance...

After owning a very simple instant-read thermometer for a few years, I decided to buy these “system” when I acquired a compatible Genesis LX grill. Although the general idea is great, in practice this thing does not work at all! After setting it up and connecting the probes, I get about 3 minutes of good readings on the app, afterwards, the signal keeps getting lost and I must reboot the iGrill system in order for it to send the reading again. This happens about every 2-3 minutes, which is absolutely annoying, considering its intended purpose of monitoring cooking temperature continuously. I would definitely not recommend it and will have to go back to my old thermometer after spending more than double on this...

- Press down on the power button until you hear a beep
- Head to your phone's Bluetooth settings and locate your iGrill 3 in the list of connected devices
- For iOS, select "Forget this device" or for Android, select "Unpair"
- Restart your phone, open the app, and pair
